Do these sound alike or am I hearing things?

DD is Kyla. If this baby is a girl (we are not finding out the sex), we are strongly leaning towards Talia. When I say one after the other, they start to sound alike to me. Neither DH nor my mom hear the similarity. Do the two names sound similar to you?

I know what you mean, with the assonance at the end, but I think they sound different enough, and are both pretty.

I think they are too silmilar. Just imagine yelling their names together, I'd get a little tounge tied.

I like both names but agree that as they get older and you need to call them both it will be a tongue twister.

Depends on how you pronounce Talia. Do you say it with 2 syllables like Tal-ya or three Tal-ee-uh?

Spend a couple days saying them as if you were calling them in for dinner or to stop fighting or whatever. See if it feels too tricky to say. They do sound a bit similar. But my LOs names aren't and I trip over them and throw the dog in for good measure.
