Bring snacks! If you get stuck on the tarmac and they don't give out food you might get ragey I skipped the scanners and opted for a pat down when I flew, but I don't like those scanners anyway, so that's just me. Officially they are fine.
I'm flying Friday to visit family and plan on all following the same advice as PPs have given. Also if you're nauseated still consider (in addition to the snacks) some candy, ginger chews etc. For me I sometimes get a bit motion sick so want to have these things on hand in case of bad turbulence. Have a good trip!
I am in my 1st trimester as well and flew to Poland about 2 weeks ago, then flew to Italy..still here..All is fine I definitely suggest brining food if it is a long flight. Don't stress, you will be fine!
