Trying to Get Pregnant

I think I am allergic to my PNV's - any advise?

I have started taking PNV from Nature Made. I have started getting a few water bubbles on the bottom of my feet. They are itchy and feel like I am being pinched by a needle when I walk. Two year ago I had the same thing occur and I just realized that I had been taking One A Day PNV then too. Could this be a reaction to the PNV? I will be scheduling a dermatologist appointment on Monday but was wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Yeah. Someone else on this board had an allergic reaction to their PNVs. Do you have any known allergies? What kind are they? Nevermind. I just saw Nature Made.

  • @KatzKiss No I am not allergic to anything. I am almost 30 and I have never had an allergic reaction to meds, foods, pets, or weather. I am at a loss here.

  • @KatzKiss‌ I know I'm not allergic to shell fish, but I will definitely going to see the Dr. Need to know if this is going to be and issue if we are ttc.

Or if you get pregnant. I would get it figured out ASAP. Good luck.

  • @jennym25‌, have you tried a PNV without any fillers/binders? I dont have allergic reactions, but will get severely ill from high doses of vitamins. I switched to a brand called Garden of Life (they have mostly raw vitamins) and haven't had an issue since.

If a dermotologist/allergist can't figure it out (I agree with @cjchio‌, I have severe allergies to something they can't figure out), you might want to give raw vitamins a try. Good luck!

    Diagnoses: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, PCOS
  • If you are going to TTC in the meantime, I'd just take folic acid on its own and see if you can tolerate that. I agree, if you can't think of anything else that might be causing the reaction, going to a dermatologist or an allergist (is that a thing?) makes sense.

Have tried taking Benadryl or some sort of allergy medication?
ETA: I'm not suggesting you take anything but if you did and it didn't work, it might not even be an allergy.  Though it has all the signs of one.

  • @KatzKiss‌ I have not taken any allergy meds. But as the day progressed it got worse and I have three new blisters. I can barely walk, actually using borrowed crutches. My husband has insisted on taking me to the dr. Just waiting for morning to call and ask for an emergency appt. Thank you all for the advice. I didn't take the PNV today and will stop to see if this clears. I will also try organic pills as suggested.

  • @KatzKiss I went to the podiatrist last week and she didnt think it was the PNV's. She said it was skin dermatitis and sent some medication to apply. It was pretty bad that i was on crutches for most of the week. DH drove me and picked me up from work since i was my right foot. I am better now and have a follow-up next week. Still dont know the cause but maybe she will have something more concrete.
