  • Entitled pregnant women are the worst. All you described is laziness.

  • I was just kidding around, I meant the last part to be sarcastic. Guess it didn't translate as such. I'm sorry, really didn't mean to sound lazy or entitled.

  • Thank you OmSweetOm. I am still learning how to post on these boards. I guess my humor doesn't translate well on here yet. :-(

  • Haha LOVE IT! You are too cute :) Self- care is important for everyone but especially for soon-to-be momma's- enjoy the little bit of downtime you have while you can :)
  • Everyone needs some down time. I remember really soaking up my rest with my first.

  • This is a prime example of raging hormones lol. Everyone getting mad at someone they don't even know. Too funny. I get jealous of one girl at work, we've almost got the same due date, and I don't act too different at work and I've hardly called in sick, and she's always called in sick and she doesn't have to work as hard all of a sudden. So I sometimes get bitchy towards women who are pregnant and stay home a lot… Not that that is anything directed towards the OP or any other women who stay home a lot during their pregnancy, I just get jealous that people don't treat me "special" because I'm pregnant.

  • Someone is having a bad day. Always has to be a bully. Guess we aren't all adults here.

  • Somedays I just like to sit down and relax too.  And I'm not pregnant.  It's not a bad thing to realize your working really hard and just want time to yourself!  It's important.

  • Today is my lazy day, and I don't feel bad at all. I just feel like doing jack, so TV and naps for me. Lol

  • kyliedaniellexx I did not whine about anything. In fact, I apologized. Twice. This is getting ridiculous.

Thank you to the ladies who understand where I was coming from. My day off was amazing and much needed! Back to the daily grind I go!

  • @Samiantha101‌ never said you should, but don't whine if and when you don't get the reaction you were looking for.

    Huh? Whose whining?

  • I was so lazy this last pregnancy. Aside from cleaning, I did a lot of laying around. I wish I was lazier and took more advantage of all the wonderful peace and sleep. Because now that she is here, holy shit

    It's a BOY

    She didn't whine 8-|

  • I have to say I feel the same way! It's great to have days to relax, especially since on the days I work it's over 12 hours consistently on my feet.
  • Enjoy it and embrace it. You need it. I still take them. And I have a kid at home with me! Call CPS! I don't understand the martyrdom with others.

  • Do mean women have mean babies? Let's be kind. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I work hard, I'm a Ph.D student, a mom of a teen and caretaker of my 87 YO grandmother PLUS my husband has a very demanding job as well! I am totally okay with going to bed at 7P and feeling totally spoiled that my DH won't even let me pick up our ironing board!  :-*

If any of you are like us, we've prayed for this moment and are going to savor every moment the VERY best we can! So anytime the opportunity arises, kick your heels up!

Here's to my movies in "que"; Wizard of Oz, The Notebook, Pretty Woman, Benjamin Button and whatever is a total chick flick in theaters.

I feel like this is turning into a: "I work harder than you and here's why" thread.

Yeah and FWIW as one of those women who work my ass off I don't find her comment remotely insulting.
I also work... a lot. And I don't think someone making a joke is at all insulting. It's insulting to tell someone they're entitled when you have no idea ... She made a joke. Geez.

  • As soon as the clock strikes 12 on Friday, I will officially be enjoying rest and relaxation for the summer. After teaching and counseling my high school students all school year, as well as coaching track from Dec-May my short vacation is well deserved. This mommy to be needs to kick her feet up. Definitely, no need to keep apologizing. It's words on a screen, someone is bound to misinterpret what your meaning being the words was. No biggie.
  • Ok, I feel the need to toss this in, at my first appointment, the nurse person who went over family history with me told me to make sure I took naps whenever possible.

  • I would love a nap, but I work 11 hours a day, 4 days a week and I'm on my feet most of the time. This reminds of a friend of mine who didn't work her first pregnancy and was always "tired", blah blah. Some people have jobs.

I'm a student off for the summer. I spend my days watching Netflix and laying with my dog. I babysit two mornings a week. Am I not allowed to ever feel tired? Let me know.

  • I loved your comment! It made me smile!!! Currently I am 7.5 weeks pregnant, just saw the heartbeat on Thursday. I work, but I LOVE when I'm done and I get to do NOTHING! I try to lay there watching a movie, but because of my fatigue, I usually fall asleep. I-) Thanks for the comment... Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go watch a movie!
