PgAL terrified of 12 week scan tomorrow

Hi guys. I lost my first little one at 7 weeks (although it measured only 5) in March. We were really fortunate to fall just 2 weeks after the miscarriage but I am terrified of losing this one. We had a scan at 7+5 and saw its tiny heart beating which was AMAZING! But even though I have no reason to suspect anything has gone wrong (apart from some cramping which apparently is normal...?!?) I am terrified that I'm going to go to my scan tomorrow and they tell me he's gone. I'm going crazy, I haven't slept all the way through a night since week 4 but this week has been the worst yet.

((Hugs)) I am sorry your feeling so nervous. Just remember today you are pregnant and you love your baby. I understand your nervousness though. T&P for a great scan!

I'm sorry you are so worried. It doesn't help, but I think we all feel that way. I'm sure the appointment will go great and we can't wait to hear updates!

PGAL is the worst.  I'm sorry that you are feeling so anxious.  Sending good vibes your way for another awesome scan!

I completely understand how you feel.  The days leading up to appointments are the worst!! You start to remember 'that bad appt' with your last pregnancy when things went south & get worried that 'something will take this one away too' right?  I also lost a a baby in March & we were shocked to find out we were expecting again so soon (I'm 12 weeks 5 days!)  What has helped ME:

I think that the baby I lost is now a guardian angel for the one I'm carrying. 

I remind myself that while there is no guarantee for any pregnancy, DH & I have already been thru the absolute worst case scenario... & somehow we survived.  

In general the likelihood of losing another one is so much less after you've hit 12 weeks.

Again, there is no promise of success with anything.... but I'd encourage you to do your best to think positive  I keep telling myself 'things will go well, this baby will be fantastic'... & when I have my doubtful moments I lean on my DH for support Hugs to you!!

I seem to have horrible anxiety before my ultrasounds also. PgAL sucks! Sending lots of T&P your way that you have a great scan!

Well, we had our scan yesterday and saw the teeny tiny heart beating. He even did some somersaults and sucked his thumb. He wasn't impressed about being poked so much tho. Lol. Thank you all sooooo much for ur T&P's.

SO happy that your scan went well!!!! 

I had my 1st trimester screen in the same week & thought of you It's funny to see them in there waving around isn't it? I was told by a friend to always eat candy before ultra sound appts... so I did & wow!! My little one was doing full out choreography in there lol.

(& just in case someone is appalled by that, I assure you I didn't over indulge. I just saved my snickers bar craving for the ride over to the Doc! lol)  Hope everyone is having a happy day!

Burdygirl, I was actually sent off to get candy by the sonographer as he was sleeping upside down on his tummy. Lol. He then started somersaulting! Loved every minute of it. Xx

Too funny!! Mine little one was upside down too!!  The first tech we saw had me doing log rolls on the table & I told her "I just ate a snickers, give them a minute!!"  She insisted... so the 3D puncture shows my little one with hands on both sides of his/her head as if to say 'WHAT are you doing out there!?" lol  

Let's ride this high as long as we can! (Which for me means until 3 days before next appt when I'm sure to be a worry wort again! )
