One Good Thing About Music

Hi new friends! I know I am a newbie around here, but I just wanted to say hi and ask:
When you are charting and logging and temperaturing and peeing on sticks like I know all of us are, what kind of music helps you relax? I am a big music person and love to share and find new stuff, and I want to know more about everyone!

I love florence and the machine today :)
Due March 2016 :)

    Due March 2016 :)

  • One of my top 5 @MamaBina :) I lurve me some Bob Marley. I also love jazz. All kinds of jazz. And Stevie Wonder. Classical music is good to relax to as well, but I usually need to have quiet if I'm really trying to chill. Other wise I just end up singing along. #musicianproblems

I love current stuff, but older stuff is where my heart is... Carol King, Linda Ronstadt, Hall and Oats, Elton, Bob Marley, Etta James, Springsteen, Simon and Garfunkle, I could go on and on and on.

The newer stuff I like is the typical pop stuff- Katy Perry, Pink, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, etc.  I LOVE Lucero, Drive by Truckers, Against Me! and Antigone Rising.

  • @kwicks Oh girl you have my heart. Carole King makes me complete. And the rest on your oldies list is just so wonderful.

I have really been getting into Katy Perry recently. Turns out she's super fun.
    Due March 2016 :)

  • Paolo Nutini's "New Shoes" is my jam today.

I just got The Doubleclicks' new album, Dimetrodon, and it's adorable. "Unstoppable Force" is my favorite track.

I'm digging One Republic's "Counting Stars" and Avicii's "Wake Me Up" a lot lately.

And Mumford & Sons is an express train to mellow any day.
  • I guess I can be the only classic country lover. :) George Strait is my absolute favorite.

Country....but not classic country. :) I like stuff from the 80s into the 90s. Alan Jackson, Alabama, Clint Black, older Tim McGraw....
