Welcome to the July Summer Sparkers Check-In!!!  Check-ins will be every Tuesday & Friday. Your check-in leaders are jszy10 (Tuesday) and jencity9 (Friday).

This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for July. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below!!  

(For example:  IVF/FET cycle #, where you are in the process, relevant dates, etc. (Be sure to update us along the way!)

I'll start!!  I just started my 2 weeks on BCP yesterday, so we are officially on the path!  We have an IVF Seminar on Monday night, followed by our nurse's consult on Tuesday.  I will be going on a trip in about a week and a half (some work, some pleasure), and when I get back I'll be starting injects!!

Looking forward to traveling this journey with you ladies!!

I am on day 8 of 21 of BCPs for IVF #1.  This Thursday I go for my ute measurement, mock transfer and meeting with the nurse to sign all of the consents and get my calendar.  On 6/30 I go for my baseline.  I should start stimming on 7/4 and we are looking at ER for the week of 7/14.  

I am a little nervous about how it will all work out as we will be out of town on 7/11...which will be toward the end of stimming.  I'm hoping it will all work out fine and won't delay us any, or cut our trip short.  

Stimming and ER still seem so far away.  In an effort to not waste away the next few weeks, I started keeping a daily log of things that I do/accomplish.  It is giving me something else to focus on, which is helpful.  I plan to continue doing this up through ER and hopefully up through my beta as well.

Hi ladies! I am prepping for IVF #2. I was recently diagnosed with Factor 5 Leiden and MTHFR. Since I can't take BCP anymore, we are using the depot lupron injection. I got the shot last week on Monday. My baseline is going to be around the 1st of July. I am so excited to get this process going again. Good luck to all!

Hello ladies! I'm on day 3 of 20 bcps for IVF/ICSI #1.2 (first attempt was cancelled due to poor response). We've switched from an antagonist protocol to a long lupron. I'll start lupron July 5th and stims July 14th with an estimated retrieval is July 26th.

Hi everyone!! I, too, started BCP yesterday and I have an appointment on 6/26 for mock transfer and to get my calendar.

@StacyLH24‌ That is a great idea!! I may steal it.

@snegde‌ I know how you feel as far being used to living "child free" for so long and being used to it. It's a huge change and can be scary!

I'll be starting BCP any day now 3 weeks of those and then I start my stimming meds. I got my big box last week of all the meds I'll be taking (gonal-f, menopur, ganarelix and lupron-I think that's it!)

this is IVF #1 for me and we have had it planned since April. I've been very anxious to get started and it's almost here

Just an observation on my part, but it feels odd to no longer be worried about what CD I am. At this point, I figure it isn't necessary to keep track anymore. It just feels odd since that has been my focus for so long. Now there are so many other "days" that are important instead.

snegde -- I can completely relate to your comment on "child-free" life.  When we started trying over 2 years ago, I was ready for a little one...now that we have been waiting almost 2 1/2 years, the newness has worn off.  I think what we go through emotionally and physically with IF kind of takes all the thrill out of it.

StacyLH24 -- omg same!!  I opened my Fertility Friend app the other day and thought...what's the point of this anymore?!?  It feels kind of good!

I'll be joining, and @jessimi06, we are so cycle twins. I am also moving on to IVF 1.2, from an under response to the antagonist protocol. This time we will be doing the long Lupron, but I won't be taking BCPs, and will just track LH  until suppression with Lupron is needed. I start suppression likely around July 4th, and stimming around July 11th. ER will likely fall close to July 25th.

I'm hoping that I can make it all the way through an IVF cycle this time. with DH's MFI, IVF is really our only option, so converting to IUI last cycle with little chance of success was a REAL bummer.

I hope we all get lucky this summer!

hello, can I please be added to the goup?  We just got our protocol and schedule today and we should be having a mid july transfer.  We also did our mock transfer and I had another SHG today.  Thankfully this one hurt way less than the first one.  

This will be IVF #1 for us.  We start stims on 5 july (or right around there if my cysts are gone by then) and ER around the week 14 July...funny how last year DH missed his OC, MD trip with the guys since we were doing IVM and now we are missing the trip again this year to do IVF.

@Alicia_R1‌ - It looks like we will be cycle buddies. If all goes well, my plan is to start stimming July 4 with ER the week July 14 as well. My ute measurement, mock transfer, SHG and meeting with the IVF nurse is tomorrow.

I'm getting ready to start IVF #1! I finished my 3 weeks of BCP on Tuesday and I've been on Lupron since last Wednesday. I go in for my baseline 6/25 and start stims 6/28. For some reason there is a long wait between AF and starting stims but my nurse assured me that it shouldn't matter because the Lupron is keeping me suppressed. I'm still a little nervous about being over suppressed though. I'm just not so patiently awaiting getting started!
