Poor DD... Busts her lip standing in the locker room at the gym as a toddler... Gets her finger broke after dropping a bowling ball on it while bowling as a 2nd grader (kid told her the ball was lighter than it was)... Gets a bigtime goosebump trip to the ER after falling off of playground equipment with bilateral bruising (thankfully nothing - but that's an indicator of a skull fracture type scare)... Sprains her ankle pretty bad during gymnastics... AND NOW... Yesterday she had her thumb hit during softball practice with her cousin (Her cousin was practicing pitching and DD caught the ball between her thumb and the bat while attempting to swing)... It didn't look bad initially - but it now looks pretty tweeked once it swelled up - My brother who is also in the "yea you're o.k. kid" club normally - gave the <EEEK> "Take'n one for the team there kiddo!" it looks pretty strange..
Alas, yet another blasted trip to Urgent Care with her for a sports injury... She had things going on during the day today so we didn't try to make an appointment to get it x-rayed to ensure it's not another broken finger...
I swear this kid is best to stick to Chess!!

Hope her finger is better soon!
The good news is that her thumb isn't broken, even if it's pretty sore/painful to her. The bad news is that it's on her dominant hand so was told if it's not better in two weeks to head to the hand specialist... Ugh!!!!
Either way, there goes another $300+...
