On pelvic rest again. Bummer!

So I had my A/S yesterday morning, and all looked great except a low-lying placenta. My doc is out of the office on Wednesdays, so even though I had my scan yesterday, I was supposed to actually meet with my doc this afternoon. Well, a little bit ago I got a call from my nurse to reschedule the appointment for two weeks from today, since the baby looked great on the scan and all. Which was fine, ok, except what about this placenta business? Nurse told me we'll talk more about it at the follow-up in two weeks, and I'll have another scan to see if it's moved up away from the cervix near the end of 2nd tri. Until then, I'm on pelvic bed rest. Blurgh! That is the third time this pregnancy. I had two instances of spotting in the first trimester, and was put on pelvic rest for two weeks after each. Now I'm on it for like 8 weeks?! Poor DH. I broke the news to him after I got off the phone with the nurse and his response was, "I'm used to it. It'll be ok!" What a guy.

But still, I was looking pretty forward to the increased "fun" that's supposed to come with being in 2nd tri, but looks like I'll be missing out. Poopie.

Anyone else put on pelvic rest for a low-lying placenta?

I'm currently on pelvic bed rest but not for the same issue, my doc even threw in a 'oh and no house work either' my H looked like he had been punched twice! Hopefully you can get off of it soon and enjoy that fun second tri

Sorry about the pelvic rest. What a bummer! I hope the placenta moves up and you're good to go for the 3rd tri.

Pelvic rest stinks. I was on it from 12 - 20 weeks because of placenta previa. By then my placenta had moved up as my uterus grew, so we got to go off. Hopefully yours will move soon!
