Stay at Home Moms

You're gonna hear me RAWV.....

Hi ladies! I haven't been around much lately, but have some venting and a little AWing today.....anyone else??

Vent: It looks like L is going to need braces for his feet. He's been in PT off and on for tight Achilles tendons and toe-walking and it just doesn't seem like the exercises are fixing it enough. *sigh* I know it's nbd and much better to get them now than later, but it's kinda disappointing nonetheless.

Vent #2: Today was one of those days where I considered it a small miracle that I got dinner on the table on time w/o the boys completely destroying the house or killing themselves. But huzzah for an early bedtime.

Random #1: After L's PT, I took N to the grocery store while my mom watched L (last few times I've taken L to PT, N was completely inconsolable until I took him somewhere too...) OMG one baby in the grocery store is SO easy!!!

Random #2: Speaking of one kid being easier than more than one, DH said his work partner is looking for a childcare provider for their two kids (3 yo and 3 mo) for $400 a week, 3 days a week. The money is terribly tempting, but I'd have to be insane to try to wrangle 4 under 4 (not to mention our place isn't the best equipped for that kind of set-up). DH is putting no pressure on me at all about it, and thinks it's kind of unreasonable himself, but I still feel guilty saying "no" immediately. Someone else tell me it's a terrible idea.

Random #3: Never mind. Just typing that out, I'm shaking my head thinking "Nope, not gonna happen." :-P

AW: We just booked our family vacation for this summer!! And DH and I have an out of town wedding next weekend....so excited for travel! :)

OK, someone else's turn....

That's exciting, where are you going?

Vent: DD threw a gigantic tantrum in Target today and everyone we walked by was staring at me. I know I was handling it the best way but I still get really uncomfortable when she's making a scene. I'm paranoid people are judging me.

Random: A good friend got into nursing school and quit her job so she could go full time. I'm so excited for her.

AW: I had a productive day. I unpacked half the kitchen and most of the living room, went shopping, made dinner, did laundry, and deep cleaned 2 rooms all while watching DD. : )

  • Aw: It was a gorgeous day today and DH was home all day!

Random: I signed the kids up for swimming lessons today. The kids will be in the same class. I will be able to relax during lessons. No having to keep DS entertained this year!!

Vent: The kids are driving me batty with all their fighting and shenanigans.

  • Random: I went to create my summer schedule to keep myself organized but when I opened my planner it seems someone ripped out most of the June pages. Thanks mini.

Aw: DD has summer dance classes, camp and swimming lessons this summer and I'm loving the busy schedule

Vent: I'm sick. Moms can't get sick. I feel like crap so it's off to bed soon.

  • Roses, first we're going to Boyne (up north Michigan heheh) for 4 nights and then to this family campground near the Ohio/PA border. We'll probably just do lots of hanging outside and playing w/ the boys....but it will be somewhere else lol!

  • random- Z has been flipping out at bath time lately. not sure why.

vent- I cut my thumb nail too short and it hurts!!!!

aw- it's wine time. been a super long day. Z is in bed, asleep. I'm sitting on the couch eating popcorn and having a glass of wine :)
  • Random: having a toddler is so, so much easier for me than having a baby.  I'm so glad DD is out of the baby stage.

Random 2: H made deep dish pizza for dinner and it was awesome.

AW: I feel super skinny today.  Not sure why since the scale hasn't moved, but I'll take it!

Vent: My period was 3.5 weeks late and now is SUPER heavy.  Grrr.

  • @marchesa28‌ - how old is L? DS toe walks pretty frequently and I'm starting to wonder if I need to talk to his pedi about it.

Random: I don't think there is enough water in the world to quench my thirst right now. So THIRSTY!

AW: I got up and did my workout before taking L to Disneyland for the morning. And I'm planning on going for a run this evening. I've already hit my goal for steps for the day on my Fitbit.

Vent: every high school senior in the world was at Disneyland today. They were super obnoxious. We did three rides and called it good. The beauty of having a pass, I suppose.

  • Vent: This is DS2's first week of daycare and it has not gone great. He made a shitty first impression...literally. He is on an antibiotic and had a blowout on the drive there. I realized at pick up Monday he was in the wrong age group because I gave them DS1's birthday and DS2's year...oops. After pickup Tuesday he was acting sick again...turns out he now has a double ear infection. We switched his antibiotic and he missed today due to fever (103 before ibuprofen--sad baby!). I don't know if he will go tomorrow or not. So, I have not gotten a ton of schoolwork done...

AW: I started my first class and I really like it!

Don't go back on Tuesday! More kids headed your way.

Haha! Thanks for the warning. We are headed there on Thursday. I'm well aware it's the season of grad nights and approaching summer. Crowds are to be expected.

    Vent: Swollen feet. Enough said.

Random: I just got back from VBS orientation. I'm a preschool crew leader. I'm kind of nervous/scared about it. I have no idea why. It's not like I have never been a crew leader, but I was like in high school the last time I was one. Last year I did skits, and well the theme this year is SonRock Camp. At 8 months pregnant, I didn't think skits were a good idea. Although, I'm not so sure being a crew leader is a good idea either. It will be fine, right???

Aw: DS slept most of the afternoon. I had a gal over and I think I made a new friend. Maybe....hopefully. :)

  • Vent: our new little kitty will not eat and it's really upsetting me. She's pooping and peeing, so she's eating and I just can't tell right? I weighed her food earlier to know for sure.

Vent #2: I am so emotional and anxious today. I hate this feeling. It did dawn on me that it is maybe because AF showed up...5 days early. I'm on BCP, so that shouldn't happen.

Random: DS is jealous if I touch the cat

AW: too cranky for this today. I'm going to bed and trying again tomorrow.

  • @CnAmom‌ I am thoroughly intrigued by your "houseguest" haha. At least he is polite! Like I said in last week's FFFC, I believe in ghosts. Too many crazy things have happened over the years that just don't have any sort of reasonable explanation. It gets worse/more 'active' as I get older too. Weird

  • @JMC11511‌: He's 17 months. It would definitely mention it to the pedi if you're concerned. Our PT said some toe-walking (like less than half the time) is normal, but the trouble is, if it gets to be a habit, it can make the tendons tighten...which then make it harder to walk normally, so it's a downward spiral. Something else to note is that apparently he doesn't have to be high up on his toes, but if he's even just striking the ground with the ball of his foot (rather than walking heel-to-toe) it's part of the problem.

@Jens2203 She may just not like that brand of food.
I tried the same food she had with the foster and wet food and tuna. She hasn't eaten in days. I'm even weighing the food to be sure. We're off to the vet today. I'm hoping for peace of mind at least.
