Pregnant after a Loss

**Wednesday Ticker Change**

Happy Wednesday ladies!  I hope you are all doing well.  :)

One more week down and that much closer to meeting our sweet LO's!

Just a reminder that this is a weekly check-in for those of us who start a new week of pregnancy today. If you are new, please feel free to jump in, give us your EDD, and welcome!

How far along are you?

How are you feeling? Symptoms?

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?

GTKY: My SIL is getting married on Saturday and I am a bridesmaid.  If you haven't read about it before, SIL is a bit of a bridezilla.  So for this week, share your best or worst bridesmaid story.  If you've never been a bridesmaid, perhaps tell us your favorite wedding moment (your wedding or someone else's, good or scandalous).

  • How far along are you? 9 W

How are you feeling? Symptoms? MS is kicking my butt.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? tomorrow...hoping for a US to make sure LO is ok...T&P for my PgAL mind is starting to work up as I found out last time at 9W5D.

GTKY: I have to say the times I was a bridesmaid the Mother of the Bride was WAY worse than the Bride.  And she got drunk at the reception and almost fell on my hubby/table...thank god he caught her or it could have been really bad.  On other news I HATE being a bridesmaid...
Sorry about the m/s and pgal brain.  Hopefully the m/s will be gone in a few weeks.  I'll be thinking of you and your LO tomorrow!

That is hilarious about the MOB!  I can't really see my MIL getting that drunk on Saturday, but I wouldn't count out some of DH's cousins.  This is my 3rd time being a bridesmaid, but the first time I've really hated it.

  • How far along are you? 13 weeks!!  Ain't that peachy?  ;) (get it?)

How are you feeling? Symptoms?  I've been feeling pretty good!  More energy, but tiredness and nausea still come and go occasionally.  I had an evening date with m/s yesterday evening which was random and weird because I haven't felt like that since week 9 or 10 really.  But as long as Baby C is doing well I'm not complaining :).

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?  Nada.

GTKY:  I have no good bradesmaid/bridezilla stories to share (how boring!!!).  But, I'm grabbing some popcorn and hoping the rest of you do because I love me a good cat fight story.

@mmheartspb - FX for a great appointment.  PgAL brain is really tough and I'll be sending lots of positive vibes your way.

  • @carlsonbaby2014 YAY 13 weeks!  I'm glad you are feeling good!  Boo for random evening m/s, though.  I feel like m/s likes to pretend it's getting better and then randomly strike when you're least expecting it.  Hopefully it was a weird one off thing.

I love a good cat fight story, too, and I am looking for some comradery going into this weekend.  I'll probably end up sharing (more) about this experience and the crazy g/f story from my brother's wedding when I do my check-in later today.

  • How far along are you? 17 weeks!!!

    How are you feeling? Symptoms?
I am starting to get uncomfortable in my maternity pants already. It's something to do with the pressure on my belly. So now I am forced to wear dresses for comfort which I am in no way a girlie girl. Nausea is up and down. I am constaintly hungry and never satisfied. Oh any my muscles are out of control.
Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? This is it!!!! We finally made it to the big week... Our early anatomy scan. I am a ball of mixed emotions! Dh and I didn't make it past this appointment last time only it was at 20 weeks. So this will be a big milestone filled with a lot of emotions. I didn't get to see what baby looked like on the screen last time or celebrate whether it was a boy or girl. To this day my dh and I don't know what we were having. It was one of the hardest decisions we had to make. So I look forward to hopefully celebrating on Friday with good news and find out what we are having. :)

I am having a brain fart and can't think of anything. I will say that my cousin is getting married in two weeks from this Saturday which also happens to be my dh and I 's 6 year wedding anniversary. :)

  • @whiteroses05 I totally understand the uncomfortable pressure thing.  I'm not a big dress/skirt person either, but there are days that they are all I can wear because the pressure from pants is too much.  Sorry you're still having nausea and the weird hunger thing.  I found that if I ignore my cravings, I never feel fully satisfied.  I also try to make my meals last as long as I can to satisfy my urge to eat without over eating.  And muscles out of control sounds not fun at all!  Hopefully some of this stuff gets better soon!

FX for your anatomy scan!  So excited for you.  I'll be watching for an update from you after.  :)

@Pink021 Hopefully the insulin is helping with your blood sugar.  I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Also, I have a feeling August will be here before we know it and you'll be meeting your LO!  Yay!

  • How far along are you? 21 weeks.  Can't quite believe it.  When we first found out, I counted ahead to see where I'd be when SIL got married and it seemed so far away.  Now, here I am!!

How are you feeling? Symptoms?  Feeling pretty good.  Lots of stretching and aches this week.  I called the dr yesterday for peace of mind to make sure that it is all normal aches and pains.  They said it all sounds perfectly normal so I'm a bit less anxious today.  Realized that the ickiness I've been feeling in the mornings is lingering m/s.  Only is around first thing in the morning and I usually feel better once I eat breakfast, though I have to be careful about what exactly I eat.  Then I can eat ALL the things.  I also get tired just walking about or standing for long periods of time.  I told my MIL at lunch today that I would like to have a chair on standby for the wedding in case I start feeling weird during the ceremony.  I'd rather be the weird sitting bridesmaid than the passed out bridesmaid.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?  Next appointment is a week from today.  They called me today and said they wont do my glucose test early so it will just be a normal prenatal check-up.  Oh well.  My biggest concern was making sure that she is doing alright in there before moving back to TX.

GTKY:  So we've had some interesting drama with this wedding.  The interesting thing is that I don't think she really wanted me in the wedding and I never really wanted to be in it to begin with.  I had just told DH that I thought she would ask me since she was in our wedding.  He told his dad that I wanted her to ask me and FIL told SIL to include me.  So then I had to say yes.  She threatened to kick me out when I didn't want to go to a dinner with her and the other bridesmaids one random night.  When I expressed concern over the dress she picked since it is not cut for maternity (when we told her I was going to be 21 weeks at the wedding), she said that she didn't care what I had to do or if I was comfortable, but that I HAD to wear this particular dress.  This after she told me in the fall that it would be ok for me to pick out a maternity dress if I needed to.  And I got a "so what" about the amount of money it is costing us to turn the dress she picked into a maternity dress (we told MIL about it and she told SIL).  There are a bunch of other small bratty things she's done, but I think on some level I'm nitpicking because I'm so irritated with her about the bigger things and carryover from some of her rudeness over unrelated things.

Now a funny story.  My brother and his wife got married about 4 years ago and they had the most entertaining drama I've seen at a wedding.  This nice SIL has a younger brother who has been dating a much older woman for about 7 years off and on.  They had a bunch of drama right before the wedding, but she was still his date to the wedding.  Well, after the ceremony, the brother decided he wanted to hook up with our very pretty 2nd cousin.  So, he abandons his sort of girlfriend, chats up our cousin, and ends up taking her home.  They spend the night together doing all kinds of naughty (and unprotected) things.  The next day at the family breakfast at the hotel, the kind of girlfriend shows up uninvited and screaming at SIL's brother.  My brother's FIL took them aside, calmed the girlfriend person down, and makes them sit quietly at a table right next to my 2nd cousin.  Weird and hilarious.

  • @RN536 I am very ready for this whole wedding thing to be over.  The bright side of it is that my whole family is coming, too, and I haven't seen them since December.  I miss my mom and dad.  And it will be fun to hang out with my brother and his wife more.

Yay for being Facebook official!  That was a big step for us and very exciting.  It's interesting to me how immediate family seems to know the sex.  Everyone except my mom's SO guessed girl for us. We are doing our gender reveal for extended family and friends this weekend.  :)
