decorating ideas please

Would you put anything on top of these bookshelves? (ignore the paint colour it use to be the playroom. I am painting it greenish later this summer)

I would put somethings up there, likely I'd just move some of the taller books and trinkets that you already have on the shelves. I'd also arrange the books by color and size (all the red books together, from tallest to shortest). 

I'd also probably add some easy to care for house plants to the top. Or, maybe a large pair of matching vases, one for the top of each shorter shelf.
