Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Don't you hate it when...

You're trying to change your child say at Target on the changing table and someone just comes up and starts talking to you about your baby?  At least I do!  I want to finish changing my baby because A)he can spring a leak at any given moment (he's a boy) and B) A little privacy please!  I don't go up to your child while they're on the pot and try to hold a conversation.

So weird! Being pregnant and having babies is like sending an invite to anyone and everyone to come talk to you, give unwanted advice, make unnecessary comments, etc...

  • I hate that too! I'm huge on privacy and not changing my kid in public, partly for this reason.

Girls can "spring a leak" anytime too.

Most people love babies and just like to be around them.

  • I hate it when someone tries to grab my crying baby from my arms. Like "oh, I had 2 babies 30 years ago, let me see if I can soothe her." You just met her 5 min ago, why do you think that would work? I lose my mind with that one. It's usually like family friends who try to do it..

  • You don't have to stop mid-change to carry on a conversation. :) just keep changing.

    haha! This is sooo true!
  • I must have *dont even come near my baby* face. I never had people try and touch my belly when pregnant. No one approaches us when we are out. They DO turn to look at him as we walk by but they don't attempt to talk or touch him. They barely acknowledge me.

The only time people will say anything is if an elderly woman walks by in church and she says something along the lines of "such a blessing".

But I am NOT complaining. My husband on the other hand seems to be ambushed if he's pushing the stroller or carrying our son.
  • Ahhhh!!! So I think I'm going to start making runs to the car when I have to change him!  The other night we were eating at Chili's and some lady came out of the damn stall and was about to touch my baby's head and started with "how old...". I said "oh can you wash your hands first."  WTF!  Seriously people.

"Resting bitch face", my BMB calls it, and I have it as well, lol.
