Ok so I have to decide if I want the middle name of Sophia to be spelled that way or like Sofia. I'm torn because I'm not sure which is the ORIGINAL spelling. Her first name will be Adalyn but as for a middle name we had it picked between Sophia or Faith but my husband thinks Sophia sounds better and I was trying to combine the two by using the F from Faith in Sofia because not many people know as we have kept it quite but our Faith has been tested with this baby from early on. We've had many issues come up with this pregnancy where all I can do is turn to my Faith but that being said we love how pretty Sophia sounds. Oh gosh I'm rambling and I don't think I've gotten my point across but basically I'm stuck between the 2 spellings. I'm wanting the more original spelling. The one that is referred to as holy wisdom or the one that's referred to in biblical terms if such?!
Sophia is Greek, so the original spelling uses the Greek alphabet. The transliterated spellings Sophia and Sofia are both perfectly acceptable. If the F means something to you, go with Sofia.
