Dear Glad

Please share how you made your cup cozy from Jenni's sweater sleeve.

Sincerely,

Honestly, I just sort of threw it together.  I serged each end, folded in the top and bottom, added lastin to the inside of the top (so it would "stick" to the cup and not ride up), sewed two tiny button holes for the cork-holder, and walla...cup cozy.

Thanks Glad!  I don't know what lastin is, but maybe my mom does. I have a sweater or two I may try this with. I need a cup cozy for my kleen kanteen

Lastin is clear elastic.  It is the elastic commonly used for diaper construction (imagine that, lol), and frequently for swimwear.  You can find a version of it in a craft or sewing store (not the best quality, but should work for a cup cozy).  Just look for "clear elastic," or "swimsuit elastic."

    =)
