Baby Names

Boy name

I like the name Ryan (after my brother) and I am in search of a middle name that works well together, that he would officially go by. I like different names but not weird for no reason and classic names. My two year old is boy is Clayton. These are names I like so you get an idea, a lot of them are C names but don't have to be. Thanks for your opinions! Ryan... Nash Chance Rex Milo Clive Collie Calvin Chord Cable Crewe Connor Wren Winter Tate

Re: Boy name

  • Thanks for your help & opinions! I agree and I like a two syllabal name with Ryan as well. I DO like classic names (as well as different names, as I said). My sons name is Clayton which is an old name, our girl name has always been Charlotte. I love names like Henry, Liam, Sophia, Rose, etc but A lot of classic/ old names have become very popular. So just because I don't care to name my child something in the list of top 20 names doesn't mean I don't like them and maybe there are others I just haven't thought about. What I meant by weird for no reason was made-up names, like Apple and Rain or whatever. All the names I've listed are actual names (that even I personally have heard people called).

My nephew is Ryan Allen. Allen is sort of old classic without much popularity.

I like Ryan. I think it goes with longer middle names.

Um... I'm not entirely sure why you think you like classic names... Chord, Cable, Collie, and Crewe all fall into the "weird for no reason" category. Calvin and Milo are great, and Ryan is fine. Other ideas:
    Myron
    Orson
    Philip
    Mortimer
    Ezra
    Elliot
    Lorcan
    Joran
    Soren
    Raphael
    Rhys
    Seamus
    Love Orson!

Ryan isn't that far from the top 20's and it was very popular for a while. A good name is a good name. On the other hand I wouldn't consider a name decent just because I personally heard it. I hear crazy names all the time.

Lol this is true! I just said that I had personally heard them because it made me think of when I was expecting ds and talking about name options, my mother thought I was making them up (for example the name Cash which has become fairly popular) and she would say things like "I'm a teacher and have never, ever heard that". I've heard some doozies too!
