PSA About Having Sex

ok, so maybe you won't die, but you will be sitting on your bed at 7:30 on a Friday night with a handful of York peppermint patties and 2 episodes of "I Want to Marry Harry" queued up on your Hulu because you no longer have the energy to have a real life.  Anyone one else have fun plans?

Or you have some extra money and think "how many diapers would this buy?" Instead of buying a dress, heels and booking a weekend away with yh

  • I haven't slept through the night in almost a year so I'm a little slow on the uptake and initially thought for a sec that you were wiped from having like really intense sex such that you had no energy remaining.
  • I'm literally going to bed right now. It's 745. And I'm not pregnant, have no newborn, and most likely am not going to be having any sex. Except as I type this M just woke up. Damn.
Yes, but you get a pass this time since you were up crazy early for your flight.

But for those of you still on the fence about sex...just don't. B/c it will be the last time that you do it, and you will miss it constantly until SO is finally in the mood, and then you'll feel like you're dying and have no interest in sex at all. Save yourself the heartache and go buy some batteries.
my SO is always in the mood.  occasionally i spend the afternoon trying to think of how I'll avoid him (shameful wife confession)
That's confirmation that MH is indeed broken. I wonder if it's too late to send him in for a tune-up. I'm pretty sure he's far out of warranty at this point.

  • And now it's after 9 I'm still awake bc someone screamed for 20 min, nursed, screamed more, had a bottle, and fell asleep rocking and clutching my iPhone while it played lullabyes from an app we used when she was tiny. I've gotten the phone from her but I'm afraid to get up. I literally said phone is sleeping 50 times because she wanted me to wake it up. Why does my kid hate sleep?

    :(

I spent my night in the ER with DD and was so exhausted at 1130 when we came home I could barely function. That is way past my usual bed time of 8 lol no sex in this house!

    Oh no! Is everything ok?
Poor girl has awful reflux and spit up bile yesterday. Her doctors office was closed so we went to the ER to get it checked out. Her blood work and x-ray  looked fine, but we just keep having these issues despite her being on medications. We've had to call the ambulance because she stops breathing sometimes from it. I am getting frustrated with not being able to fix it.

You poor things! Is there anything else they can do other than meds? It's so hard having sick babies and not be able to do anything for them. You'll be in my T&PS.
Thanks @kklamb10. We see her paediatrician again on Wednesday to discuss this further, I hope that we can do something else, because I hate seeing her like this. She is so happy and fun when she feels good.

    Sorry for the hijack!

@km_md‌ See if your ped will refer you to a GI specialist. That must be so scary. Have you tries blowing in her face when she stops breathing? Sometimes that works.

I second all of this. Hope your Dr. gets it figured out soon, and she feels better soon!

    Thanks @TJ1979 and @CLLDLL

That sounds like a good next step, thanks for the  suggestion. Her paediatrician has been wonderful and tried to figure it out, we've done tests and everything but we can't seem to get it under control.

I managed to find a way to get her breathing again quickly, but that first time was so so scary, we just called 911.
