I just found out I'm pregnant on Sunday. According to my calendar I should be approximately 5 weeks 2 days. I have had the worst back aches and menstral like cramps. I had a prelim ultrasound today and I couldn't see a sac. There appears to be a corpus luteal cyst on my right ovary. They only did a transabdominal ultrasound so I'm hoping that is why I didn't see a sac. Any one else experience this???

5w2 days is super early for an u/s. (Edited to add: Especially a transabdominal! I didn't have one of those until... maybe my anatomy scan around 20 weeks last time.)

Also, unless you know when you ovulated, your dates could be off by a bit. 

Have they scheduled a 2nd ultrasound? Try not to worry too much (I know, impossible). Hopefully you'll get good news soon.

I wouldn't worry too much as stated above its really unusual to do a u/s that early and expect to see anything.  I am 7 weeks along and my Dr is making me wait till 10 weeks to do mine. Not that, that is regular its just really premature to have an U/S at 5 weeks and expect to anything or get solid information on your lil one. Just give it sometime when you do your 2nd ultrasound you will probably see something and hopefully hear the heartbeat.
