** There is a BFP warning for this check-in ** Welcome to the TTC a Rainbow Sibling check-in. I’m taking over the check-in for @almostamissus. More on that below. A big thank you to her for leading the check-in and providing so much support to the ladies here. This check-in is a for TTCAL-ers with living children to talk about the issues about TTCAL while you have a living child. Living children and pictures of living children are welcome here, however if your pictured child is an infant (< a year old), please do place a warning at the beginning of your post to alert ladies who are having a hard day. You do not have to be active on the PAL board in order to be a member of this check-in, however, if you plan on posting on the main board please post an intro there. All are welcome to join us! Please give us an intro with the following information if you wish: name(s)/age(s) of your child(ren), EDD(s) and where you are in your TTC journey. If you get a BFP please send @bookishmomma a private PM so I can add you to our graduates list. No special hugs this week. Current Member List:anitaflora - DS: 4, EDDs: ?

Thank you so much for the check-in BookishMomma! Temping is going really good this month, I am waking up at the same time every morning to take it and I haven't missed a day this cycle. We are going to start using OPK starting Saturday, so we can catch that egg this time, keeping my FX !
Congrats to all the ladies that Graduated this week and Blessed wishes to you all!
Question of the week: I like to bake something and watch my favorite movies or shows.

I'm holding up ok. I have to know that I (my body) did the best that it could this cycle. If I O'd on Friday when I had the IUI then I would have had 17mm, 18mm, and 19mm follies all could have had mature eggs or none. My oldest daughter came home from school on Tuesday with a picture of a mommy and daddy with triplets. It spooked me a little and made me smile. I'm just worried and scared that if IUI doesn't work for us then why would IVF. I need to stop being so negative!! We have our IVF appointment next Wednesday and then my blood test is the following day. It's so hard not to get your hopes up.
QOTW: I always sneak in some horrible reality television and then of course chores.
IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!! Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized. Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN

I'm glad temping is going well. I learned so much when I started.

((hugs)) I find it hard to stay positive, too. I'll tell you what another wise Bumpie told me this morning: take things one day at a time. You've got a plan going forward if this cycle doesn't work.
Hi Ladies! I'm excited to be part of this check-in!
@frenchteachermama, it's easy to get discouraged! keep strong and FX that this was your month. We are going to try timed intercourse, clomid & trigger 2 more times then I think IUI is our next move. With my low AMH I just don't know if I should start IVF instead of waste time on IUI. So much to think about! I love what you said about your daughters drawing! Uh oh--maybe it's a good sign
@Neary2011 I hope temping helps you this cycle! I haven't ever done it, just used OPKs but FX for you!
AFM-- I went to the Dr's on Tuesday. It was a pretty bad day. It was at a different office about 35 minutes away. I ended up having to drive past the Hospital where I had my M/C, and couldn't find the office (gps...ugh) had a little (ok ok, a "big") cry in the car before going to my appointment. They drew my beta, and my Dr talked with me and answered all of my questions. Beta came back yesterday at 32. It was 234 on the day of my M/C (Sunday 18th). She want's me to recheck in a week, and hopefully they're down by then. I think I have decided to wait to TTC until my AF comes naturally. My Dr keeps telling me she can start my period asap after my beta hits 0, and I just don't know. Im 90% sure I'm going to wait.
@BookishMomma you are right. I have to take things one day at a time and I do have a plan in place. I'm spending a lot of wasted energy being negative
@rslh10 the way my RE explained it was that it wouldn't be impossible for me to conceive naturally or through IUI but the problem is that it is very rare for your AMH to go up and time is our biggest enemy. He used this example, he said if I was lucky with my low AMH to get lets say 8 good eggs he would be saving us 8 months of trying. We're going to do something called PGD too which tests the embryos (if we are lucky to have any) to see if they are genetically normal before putting one or two back in me. If we find out at that point that all of my eggs aren't healthy then maybe it's the end of the road for us. It's so scary but I've spent the past 8 months upset and sad about each month being a BFN so for us this was the right step. If it were me I would wait until my body started AF on it's own. It's just my personal opinion but I think after a loss it's good for your body to re-set itself. I'll support you either way though!!

I'm sorry you had a rough time of things. If your HCG is already down to 32, I imagine AF shouldn't take too terribly long. Maybe give it another couple of weeks and see if AF shows?
I have a question,I have been thinking about this for a long time now, ever since my first miscarriage August 24, 2013, when my daughter gets old and I feel like I want to share with her that she has two other sisters, how do I go about doing that and what is a good age? Thank you!

@BookishMomma - Thanks for heading up the check-in. And thanks for the thoughts about positivity. It is so hard to stay positive month after month, but you’re right about just breaking it down and taking it one day at a time.
@rslh10 - Sorry about the rough day on Tuesday. I hope your numbers come down quickly. It was so tough for me waiting for AF after my first loss but for us it was the right decision to just wait for it to show up. It gave me more time to get in a better place emotionally for trying again too. Good luck with the decision.
AFM: The RE’s office refused to talk to me because of HIPAA until I become an actual patient of theirs next week. Which is BS because I am quite familiar with HIPAA since I work in a hospital. But anyway, I guess we will see what the RE wants to do at our appointment next Wednesday. I’m starting to get nervous for it and I’m also worried we’re going to have to wait a while before trying again. The closer we get to my first EDD in October, the harder a time I will have with everything.
QOTW: When I have the house to myself I like to watch shows DH doesn’t watch, like Downton Abbey or Grey’s.
I am doing well. taking some time to really focus on me. Joined the local YMCA and am working out daily and am trying to set up appointments with a nutritionist. Getting stuff in order to finish my degree and will be trying tackle finances next.
DD has become a total "threeenager" and I am getting a look at what puberty is going to look like, not fun.
QOTW: What do you like to do on the (probably rare) occasion you’re alone in your house? Remote control, magazines and snacks.
Congrats to our grads!
Hugs to those who need them and FX for those who are still in it this cycle.

@Frenchteachermama Stay positive, it's all such a crap shoot in the end. I did IUI and some medicated cycles and even IVF and none of that worked then we promptly got KU'd on a natural cycle. :-|
@rslh10 Good luck from one low AMH lady to another! And I'm sorry for your recent loss.
Hugs to all who need them!
Not much new with me, still no AF but we're going to try sexy time again anyway and this time with LOTS OF LUBE.
QOTW: Drink a glass of wine in a hot bath!
Edited to add siggy warning

@Neary2011- Good to hear you're going well temping, hope you get a +opk soon! As for your question, I had my 1st loss when DS was 3 and we had told him he was going to be a big brother and I think he understood what that ment. Then we had to tell him about losing the baby and he semi understood what that ment. Given the choice (which you have because your DD is young) I wouldn't have told him until he truly understood what happened. At 4 he is still at the age where he doesn't understand how much this hurt us and will sometimes say things that (unintentionally) make me sad. We talk about how the babies are Angels but not that he is missing his siblings (probably because I can't even type that without crying).
@Frenchteachermama - Hang in there, it's always so hard dealing with the what ifs of possible future cycles.
The house is actually moving along. I went yesterday and filled all the nail holes in the trim so it is almost ready for paint. I also put some Kilz on the ceiling where the old roof had leaked - we now have a newer, much better roof, so don't want that to detract potential buyers!
QOTW: I like to read while taking a bath. But even if I am alone at home, my dog thinks it is fun to bark at everything so it sort of ruins the relaxation lol!
I have a question,I have been thinking about this for a long time now, ever since my first miscarriage August 24, 2013, when my daughter gets old and I feel like I want to share with her that she has two other sisters, how do I go about doing that and what is a good age? Thank you!
I don't have any advice on what age to tell her, but on a related note, I do think it's important not to hide our emotions from our kids. After my last loss, I was really down and cried a lot. DS (he's almost 3) kept asking "is mommy sad?" I would tell him yes, that something very sad happened, that it's OK to be sad, and that eventually I would feel better. He seemed to take this all right.
’m starting to get nervous for it and I’m also worried we’re going to have to wait a while before trying again. The closer we get to my first EDD in October, the harder a time I will have with everything.
I was really nervous about my first visit with my RE, too. I hope you'll leave there with some good information and a good plan moving forward.
I wasn't able to confirm O despite having positive OPKs. I think between DD waking up several times from the thunderstorms, then we went out of town and I didn't bring my thermometer, also I had bought a new thermometer from CVS and it was painfully slow to take a temp so I don't even know if it was accurate, I then switched thermometers midcycle. Finally DD ended getting really sick
this holiday weekend. We had to take her to the urgent care. She had a 101.6 fever, an ear infection (first one she's ever had) and horrible cough and congestion. So she was keeping me up all night, so temping was really out the window. I know AF is right around the corner because I got a pimple and I always get one right before AF. So yup this cycle was a total bust.
Ugh, I hate it when sleep interruption, sickness, daylight savings, or anything like that messes with my temps! (I'm not temping at the moment, as we're benched, but back when I was, it drove me nuts). I hope DD is feeling better, poor thing.
I love doing this, too. And I also read on my back-up Kindle (it's my old one, so I don't care if I drop it). In fact, this reminds me that I just might do this tonight!

@Lizzyrella, I think it is so frustrating to fix stuff you know you won't be able to enjoy, but I know it's all part of selling a house... I hope your work pays off! Our old condo has been on the market for a few months (we moved in February and listed the condo then). We got an offer a couple of weeks ago. I'm really hoping nothing mucks it up so that we can close the deal so we don't have to worry about it anymore! We're not getting as much as we paid for it, but at least it will be off our plates.
@sarcaztic10 Welcome! Yes, of course I recognize you. I know what you mean about it being hard to explain to your DS. My DS is a bit younger, and already I can see how he is fascinated by babies and would love to be a sibling.
Just updating here to add special ((hugs)) to @anitaflora. I read your update on TTCAL and have got my fingers crossed for you that this cycle works out.
BookishMomma! I am so excited that AF finally came last Friday. I have been temping every morning since then and so far so good! DH is very anxious and wants to conceive yesterday! LOL
Right now I am having my last splurge day for a very long time (eating whatever I want and having pop). My cycle will likely go into July, if I do not get a BFP before then, so I plan to lose at least 5 lbs. I have my OB/gyn appt on the 11th just for a standard check-up, but I plan to ask a bunch of questions in regards to my m/c in January, what it means going forward with other pregnancies, and my weight loss goals. FX for all you ladies with your current cycles!
Today we were supposed to Ovulate CD 14, but the OPK says otherwise, it is still a really faint line. H and I have only bedded twice so far, just feel down today.

Neary2011 Hang in there! As much as we'd like them to, our bodies don't adhere to strict schedules. Keep testing and BD-ing. You might get your LH surge yet today! Or within the next couple of days. When my surge happens, my line goes from light pink to positive pretty quickly without much fade in.
May I join? Hello ladies and thank you @bookishmomma for telling me about this check-in. Just to fill y'all in: my first bfp resulted in the most boring 41 week pregnancy. His birth was super scary but he's perfect now and scores above average on all his follow-up testing. Love the guy more than life itself. DH and I really want a big family. We started ttc in January and got pregnant right away. Long story short I've lost 3 pregnancies already this year - all before 6 1/2 weeks. I'm meeting with an RE on June 23rd and desperately hoping for answers. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

***Siggy Warning****
@Frenchteachermama Stay positive, it's all such a crap shoot in the end. I did IUI and some medicated cycles and even IVF and none of that worked then we promptly got KU'd on a natural cycle. :-|
@rslh10 Good luck from one low AMH lady to another! And I'm sorry for your recent loss.
Hugs to all who need them!
Not much new with me, still no AF but we're going to try sexy time again anyway and this time with LOTS OF LUBE.

January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
@Frenchteachermama- ((hugs)) I hope you can stay positive!
@rslh10- Massive ((hugs)) I hope AF shows soon.
@Ellebelle- Good luck at your appointment next week, I hope you get good news!
@Tmaggie0424- So sorry about temping this cycle Who was the wedding for or do you work as a planner?

AFM: Got my CH's, so I'm 3 dpo! We had excellent timing this cycle, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up to high.
