I don't have any interest in what other people say about this board. I couldn't care less to be PM'd about drama or links to threads where someone says we are mean or whatever. I don't know these people so why care? I like to see how everyone is doing here, read posts and comment here and there. Why even make time for the rest of the nonsense?

I'm trying to post more, less lurking. Got a new cell provider and service is much better, so it should be easier since my work computer blocks the bump.
UO: I hate talking about politics and religion mainly because I don't care to hear other people's opinions. Being from the Deep South, most friends and family are super conservative and pretty much the total opposite.
For just the sake of ease, I sometimes wish car seat laws were no where near as strict. I know they are there for a reason and I observe them, but man, it'd be so easy to just put Ella in a seat belt and call it good.
I'm a stickler for car seat safety, but I daydream about the day when both of my kids can climb into the car, buckle themselves, and we can go. Car seats are such a PITA.

I hate having to transfer our one car seat from car to car and if someone has the seat, it means I can't go anywhere that day. It would be just so simple to put her in the seat belt. Ah, well. A mere 5 or 6 years before that happens for Ella.
I am dreading having two to wrestle with. And it just goes on and on. Infant seat, convertible, high-back booster, booster, etc.

Because I am a gossipy bitch.
My UO is that if you're so invested in reading drama... why not click twice yourself and find the drama yourself. I HATE when I say "oh what did I miss, can someone PM me" ummm dear read back through the thread... maybe click on a poster to see their posting history and 9 times out of 10 it's a very simple find. or the ones who come on 3 days later.... and say "Oh man, I HATE when I miss all the DRAMAZ"

This is true. I'm very invested in the drama so I always do my homework. I don't want the condensed version. I want to read each and every twat-a-licious word.
I guess UO... I totally don't mind transferring DS's convertible seat from car to car. My MIL offered to buy a cheaper seat for her car, but I told her I'd really prefer to use my seat. I researched a lot and I paid good money to get him a safe seat that will go from RF to FF up to 110lbs and I'll be damned if he's not in said seat. And he'll be in his car seat RFing for as long as he is within the seat's guidelines (which are way above and beyond the law's minimums... another UO?). When I have DD then I'll just have to transfer two seats. Really no biggie to me.
A caveat. I only have to transfer the seat when one of the grandparents takes DS overnight....so just a couple times a month. DH has a '65 Mustang so we only use my car on a daily basis. If DH had a car that was used more often we might bite the bullet and buy a second seat.....but it would be the exact SAME seat.
UO: I can't imagine breast feeding past when Little G starts getting teeth. It makes my nips hurt just thinking about it. (that's if I'm able to even BF at all...)
*note: Not to backpedal, but to make clear--->I applaud all who can/have/will BF for as long as they feel comfortable, as well as your personal decision for however you feed your LO (formula, BF, both, baby bird it...etc). Firm believer in you do you!
Some babies don't get teeth until nearly a year and some babies are born with teeth, so none of us know the hand we'll be dealt with that...it's just one of many many factors affecting BFing. DS didn't get his first tooth until 7 months and I BF until 10 months... the teeth were not fun but manageable.
My UO is that I think it's kind of crazy how on TB you can click someone's name and see everything they've ever posted! But it is a good tool to stalk drama.
Coldplay and their music. I hate them, whereas everyone around me seems to gush on and on about how amazing they are.
Same with Dave Matthews Band for me.
Add Radiohead to that list.
Yeah this. ALL of this.
And to this day, (as my UO) I am still convinced that Thom Yorke created Kid A and Amnesiac as total crap on purpose, as a reaction to the kool-aid drinking fantical response to OK Computer. I really think he just wanted to laugh while the artsy fartsy crowd argued in favor for 2 albums of complete rubbish.

DD bit me a handful of times, and she nursed for 18 months. It happened pretty infrequently, so I wasn't sitting there scared during each nursing session, but it really caught me off guard when it did happen. Me gasping or crying out usually startled her and made her cry.
There was one really bad time where she drew blood, but fortunately, it only happened that once. If that was a regular thing, I definitely wouldn't have made it so long.
I don't think it's appropriate to talk about your vagina in front of other women's husbands.
This is more for Tuesday but this is here so meh.
DH and I went to a get together with old coworkers and a woman who I've always had issues with her boundaries is there with her 3 month old. She begins talking to my h about her choosing RCS because she "rather liked her vagina not being destroyed forever"
Yes please say that to a man whose wife already has self esteem issues and is planning a vaginal delivery you cunt

I can't see what others have posted on the bump from mobile. Since my laptop isn't working I'm always on mobile.
My uo: if you breastfeed in public, cover it up. I'm all for BFing, I just don't want to see your boobs and nipple piercing. How do you actually BF with a nipple piercing, as a mom who has BF, left me wondering.. @-)

I can not agree or disagree with your assessment as I have always hated Radiohead and have never listed to a full album.

I disagree with this 112%. I won't get into ANOTHER discussion on it.

No no no no. If my baby is hungry I am going to feed her. If it bothers you, don't look. And really, with nursing tanks these days there's hardly anything exposed except for the moments it takes to latch and unlatch the baby. Seriously?
I just dont see why it is necessary for little girls to show their midriff and have tops to outline their non-existent breasts.... Then as they get older and into the borderline pre-teen years they want to continue to wear bikinis and why? I just dont think we need to dress kids like teenage girls. If a girl is 16 and makes her own choice about a reasonable bikini, okay but bikinis to me are a sexy style statement and that is not a statement we should link with kids imo. A tankini works just as good for diaper/bathroom issues and teaches our girls a bit of modesty. I battle the midriff thing everyday with my young teen girl students. I wish some were a little less comfortable showing the world considering the mentality and maturity of high school boys and hormones.
and this is why I know my opinion on the matter is definitely unpopular. Then again I know when I was a baby my parents had me running around in just a diaper or swim bottoms a lot. Times do change I guess...
Wait...@yuristar...you mean we don't have two breasts so that our seat belts have a place to rest between and our crumbs have a place to land??? Ah man. I KNEW there was another purpose for these puppies!
OMG! I hate having to brush crumbs out of my cleavage!! Such a pain!!
I think people who drive the speed limit or under (not with the flow of traffic) are just as bad/dangerous as those who excessively speed.
definitely a road hazard.. although mostly when they're not in the right lane. I give the a break if they're just putting along in the right lane, b/c I've had to do that before on the highway with a donut.
I agree with all the pp about little girls in bikinis being to revealing. I'm really not conservative but I'm defiantly trying to teach my daughter her body isn't something she shares with the world. My husband won't even let her wear certain dresses because they hang to low and her nipple pops out and if she's in a dress she wears a diaper cover. She's only one and a year but I've learned it's easier just to start with rules then try to change behavior later. I've even told our extended family not to buy her a swimsuit because it'll probably not be appropriate (plus they pick out not my style baby clothes anyways ) and I won't change her diaper in public.
If I were to have a daughter (which I won't unless two U/S and a genetic test are wrong) I likely wouldn't put her in a bikini mostly because of concern for sun exposure. While I do think some little kiddie bikinis are inappropriate I have to say one of my favorite photos of me as a kiddo (around 2 or 3) is me at the beach in pig tails and a gingham triangle top bikini (not quite as skimpy as the one pictured in an above post). I guess back in the early 80's it didn't matter as much.

This, 1000% this. I have some little girls that come to school dressed like they are teenagers, with shorty shorts, spaghetti strap tops and wedge heels. Completely inappropriate and I really don't understand what happened to let little girls dress and look like little girls.
Those outfits are one of the reasons we are going to a uniform policy next year. My principal got tired of writing up all the girls on dress code infractions!

My UO...I always thought that I would have no problem with pregnant sex and never got the women that get freaked out by it. I have since changed my mind. I have no interest in it, not because I think he will hurt the baby, but because I feel so large and uncomfortable.

Add to this the tiredness factor and this is me to a tee. Fortunately DH is very understanding.
