New Mom gift

So yesterday a very close friend from HS had her first baby-- a little girl! 

I am so thrilled for her and her H, and I really want to send her something-- she lives in Fla.  I went on an Etsy spiral yesterday looking at monogrammed bloomers and bibs, but now I am thinking it might be nice to get something for my friend-- like a pendant with the baby's initial on it. (I am super into personalized stuff).

So here's my Q-- when you were a new mom-- which would you prefer?  A piece of jewelry or baby gear?

Etsy?  I was checking their necklaces out as well-- but it's so hard to stay focused on that site and I always wind up looking at a million different things.

 I think they have a shop on etsy, but their website is https://www.stampedunderthemoon.com  that is why I like the site, you can kind of focus on what you want.

My husband got me almost that exact one for last year's Mother's Day except it has a tiny chip of his birthstone under the A and his birthday engraved on the back. I actually wear it a lot. Definitely get it!

Baby gear- sort of. My favorite gift was from one of my friends in my hometown. She basically made me a post pardum survival kit (tucks, pads, breast pads, stool softener, etc). I used every single thing in that box and I was very grateful for it.

I love this idea, but she's not local to me-- so I would have to ship the gift to her.  But...maybe there's something like that out there all put together already?
