Progesterone Supp Question

Okay, I should probably spend a few more minutes googling this, but figured you ladies might know faster.  But will my progesterone supplements (prometrium oral pills) make my LP longer?  I know they can cause more symptoms and higher temps, but will my AF be delayed too?
After 2 m/cs, dx October 2008 with hetero factor v leiden & mthfr & low progesterone; third time was the charm - BFP 3/19/09 on first cycle of clomid. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I think so.  My dr. says my LP is too short and suggested the possibility of taking progesterone supps to lengthen in.  So I think that might be one of the effects of it.

    I started on progesterone supplements last month (of the vaginal suppository variety) - but I imagine the effects would be the same as the oral pills.  It did extend my LP from about 9 days to 15 days, and AF was about 3 days later than normal.

    my RE was slightly concerned with the Late O's so he prescribed them.  He said they won't hurt and your body will expel what it doesn't need.  In the second month taking them I O'ed on day 15 instead of 20...  Not sure if it's related or not.

    Oh, that's interesting that it might have contributed to an earlier O the next cycle.  I hope that happens for me.

    Thanks ladies.  My temps are still up and they normally drop today and AF would normally be due tomorrow.  I guess my temps staying up is to be expected a few days extra though.  Oh well.

    I take progesterone supps and they give me both hot flashes and a longer LP.

    Like I said I don't know if they're related or not :(  He seems to think my ectopic was due to my cycle being out of wack.  Both tubes are open.  Who knows.  All I know is that I don't want to think about it anymore!  I just want BFP

    progesterone will lengthen your lp - that's one of the reasons to take it

    longer lp = later due date for period

    prog also causes false high temps

    Oh, I hope so!  I'm not too optimistic though b/c I had a BFN yesterday and no real strong symptoms like with my last two bfps.
