4.If you could be president for a week, what would you change? I don't think I would ever want to be President for a week or any length of time. If I were I would try to figure out what to do about the national debt

By items I'm assuming you don't mean people, so my three items would be my Kindle, a music player and my favorite baseball hat. If people count it would have to be my husband, my son and my Kindle

5. "Items" is too broad for me. If I could only bring three *books*, I would bring the collected poetry of John Donne (very beautiful and comforting, lovely to dip into in small chunks); Dickens' "Bleak House" (long, bears re-reading, and has a little bit of everything---comedy, tragedy, romance, mystery); and Gibbons' "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" (because it is VERY long and I want to read it, but I think I could only make myself if I was stranded with it on a desert island!)

I'm assuming I'm going to be alive and stranded for a year no matter what I do or of course I'd answer "A practical guide to boat-building" and that's just boring! ;-)

The basic, milk chocolate Hershey bar. Mmm mmm.

The sugar cookies at Pot Belly's. OMG, so soft and good.

Oh gosh, I like all of them! As a kid, probably Cinderella because her ball gown was so pretty! As an adult, Anna because she would do anything for her sister!

4.If you could be president for a week, what would you change?
Changes to social services (Medicaid, welfare, etc). That'd definitely take way longer than a week though!

5. What three items would you take if you knew you were going to stranded on a tropical island for a year?
My iPhone (because there'd be service and power so I'd be able to charge it). Is it sad that I can't think of anything else I'd want? I'll be practical then. A tent and a sleeping bag.

1. What is your favorite candy bar?  Three Muskateers

2.What is your favorite cookie? (Bonus points for recipie)  It's a toss up between chocolate chip and oreo...but if I have no milk to dunk it in, then definitely choc chip.

3. Who is your favorite Disney princess and why?  I'd have to say Sleeping Beauty.  I'm not sure why, maybe that was the big Disney movie when I was little.  I love the scene where the fairies keep changing her dress from blue to pink.

4.If you could be president for a week, what would you change?  I would make healthcare available for everyone, but take every issue with it now and make them go away.  Haha, I'm not too educated on the details of Obamacare right now, but I know there are a lot of issues.  I would totally quit my job right now if I wasn't the one carrying our insurance.

5. What three items would you take if you knew you were going to stranded on a tropical island for a year?  Chapstick, my Nook, and sunglasses.

Gingersnaps, though I never make them. I always buy.

Never been a princess kind of girl. 

4.If you could be president for a week, what would you change?
The student loan/university cost problem! All public universities would actually get the funding they need in exchange for dropping tuition by 90%. All student loans would be interest free. I think we need a guaranteed paid maternity leave as well.

5. What three items would you take if you knew you were going to stranded on a tropical island for a year?

Assuming the family is coming with me, I'd say my Kindle loaded with a variety of books, my art supplies (if I have a year to kill I might get some paintings finished) and a barrel of SPF 50+ sunscreen.

3. Disney princess: this one is tough cause I love them all. Elsa from frozen (my kids favourite movie at the moment) she has an awesome power and is beautiful especially after the ice castle part.

4. President: being canadian I would say if I could be priminister for a week I would fix the education system in ontario by decreasing class sizes and increasing schools budgets so teachers didn't have to spend so much of their own money (can you tell I'm a teacher lol)

5. Tropical island packing:
1- my kindle loaded with books
2- supply of piña coladas (no clue how they would stay frozen but oh well lol)
3- my lounge chair (got to be comfortable)

4.If you could be president for a week, what would you change? Ohhhh sheesh, I can't answer this without sitting at a desk and pondering for a while (apparently my best pondering happens at a desk?)

5. What three items would you take if you knew you were going to stranded on a tropical island for a year?
Besides obvious food and water stuff, the Bible, a Kindle or other method for reading endless books, and some method of listening to music.

5. I am going to not go with life basics or people... So I would go with a great lounge chair, a tablet with a lot of good books loaded on it, and running shoes

1. A snickers but always have a my dew with it. That was my lunch everyday in high school ( how I was so thin then I'll never know)

2. Basic c is oatmeal cookie- any kind. Currently I'm obsessed with chick filet chocolate chip cookies- AMAZING!

3. I'm not sure. Not really into Disney movies ( I'm sure that will change) actually anything animated kind if scares the shit out if me- my husband thinks it's hilarious. My best friend has agreed to take Sloan to see the movies when she's older.

4. I never want to be president or in charge if anything but I agree with pP about changing the rules for assistance. I think drug testing would be wise. If I have to live by society rules then so should people who receive help from the society.

5. I'd take my phone ( with internet ) so I could entertain myself and talk to lived ones.

I'd take a crap load of cream if wheat and water- I could sustain a year in it if I had to

And a pillow/blanket for comfort when sleeping ( is it bad that as I typed that I smiled that I would get uninterrupted sleep so maybe being stranded wouldn't be so bad lol)

pepperedmoth - I'm catching up on my bump stuff on my actual computer for the first time in a couple weeks.  Are you a Dostoevsky fan?  We should bond.

1. Cadbury Creme egg. Mmmmm.

2. Oreos if I have milk, salted oatmeal if I have tea.

3. Aurora! Because when my cousins and I were little, my grandma sort of "assigned" us each a princess and all of our gifts and treats were based on that (we also each had a set color, mine was purple...ha!). She picked the princess that looked most like each of us...and by looked like, I mean had relatively the same hair color.

4. Better, more efficient and effective administration of social services. We could accomplish so much more without any extra funding.

5. My family, my first edition of Little Women, and my hiking backpack.

@coreyeliz‌ I am a literature fan in general, and am fond of Russian literature. I haven't read much Dostoevsky (the Brothers K is on my to-read shelf), but I looooove Tolstoy. I've read Anna Karenina, the Death of Ivan Ilych, and am halfway through War and Peace.
