What do you love about this stage your baby is in now? I know some of us are still sleep deprived so let's mention some things that make our hearts melt for the little people in our lives
I love how A nurses. When I pull out the boob he latches on like "ohhh yyyeeaahhh mama that's the stuff!"
I also love the googly eyes he makes at me. He looks at me like I'm the prettiest person he's ever seen.
I love how often he laughs and how cute it sounds. I love when he gets excited when I do the sign for "milk." I love that he looks up at me with the most beautiful, innocent, bluest eyes when I nurse him. I love that, when he's in his jumparoo, when he wants to stop jumping, his whole body goes completely stiff. I love all the babbling (he sounds like Chet the reindeer on "The Santa Clause 2"). I love that he lifts his arms up when I go to pick him up.
I could go on and on. I'm loving this 6-month stage way too much.
I totally get the nursing sign of like ' oh yeah, that's the stuff!'
I also love when she's sleepy and I put her on my shoulder, she's the perfect size right now to still rest her head on my shoulder when I hold her little butt!
I also live how she smiles not only at me, but at everyone right now. It's like she's so happy and she still sees the world as this big friendly place.
The smiles and the laughs. His goofy quirks (like pulling the burp cloth over his face when he wants to sleep). His interest in EVERYTHING. Holding his arms out for me. When he actually nurses to sleep and falls asleep with his head on my boob. When we co-sleep and he has his little legs draped over mine.
A falls asleep with his head on my boob too! It's really cute!
I love the way he watches DD and laughs every time she comes near him to try to entice her to play with him. Also when he gets really mad and he says mamamama which I know he isn't specifically saying to me but I can pretend
I love how much he loves his big sister (3.5 years old) He gets so happy with her around! They stayed a weekend with my mom (who lives in another state so he's not used to her) 2 weeks ago and she said he woke up cranky one morning but when DD got up he was all smiles!! DD is so good with him. It's adorable!
There is so much I love about S. Her squeals during bath time. The crazy eyes she give my boobs when she is hungry. Her gummy smiles she gives me all the time. It melts my heart when she fall asleep on my shoulder after nursing. I just sit for a while and soak it up. I too love this 6 month age. I can't believe how fast they are growing:)
I love how she grabs my face and kisses me at daycare pick up. Sometimes she has a really serious face when she sees someone new and then flashes a huge grin when she decides they are ok. It always makes people laugh. She has the sweetest giggle and shares it with me often. She is an easygoing baby and makes shopping and out to eat really easy and fun. When she stares up at me like I am the best thing in the world my heart melts. I have loved and been loved in my life, but nothing compares to our love!
N is such a good baby and so much to love! I love his belly laugh, it is just the most amazing sound! The big wet kisses are the best! And his reaction to daddy throwing him up in the air... My little daredevil!
I love how P hugs and kind of clinches in excitement with me or DH. Also when we feed him solids how he opens his mouth and sometimes tries to grab and guide the spoon.
Lyla has just recently started having these moments during the day when she just wants to sit on my lap and stare at me. She will touch my face and talk to me and smile. It melts my heart! I love the smiles she has for her daddy when he gets home from work. As soon as she hears his voice, she whips her head around until she spots him and then gives him this enormous gummy grin! Lyla wakes up like me. She needs a good 15-20minutes before she will interact with anyone. She just wants to sit and be held. It's funny because there are "stages" of how she wakes up. When you go in and get her, she just sits in your arms and stares blankly at everything with her mouth slightly open. Then her eyes start tracking people, them her limbs start moving, then she smiles and talks and is fully awake. It's hilarious! I could go on and on. Oh! And she just started sitting up unassisted. It is so fun watching her develop new skills!
I love everything! He's sitting so great now and he is just so curious! He's so thoughtful and methodical aobut things. He'll pick something up and examine it. It's so crazy how smart he is already! I love that he grabs my cheeks and gives me big slobbery kisses. ( : And how much he loves our dogs and his daddy. He just lights up when he hears his voice. ( : And his belly laugh! When we put him in his wagon he just laughs like crazy! And if you say something like "Matthew needs to nap" "you need your butt changed!" He'll make a little "heh" sound. Like "ha thats what you think is gonna happen!"
There is so much to love at this age. I love that virtually everything is a new experience for him. The world is such a fascinating place through his eyes. Like this morning, I took him to see the cows and he had pears for the first time. Every day holds something new and I love watching him take it all in.
Also, sometimes we just laugh together- my laugh makes him laugh and vice versa til we are both just belly laughing and I'm crying.
I love the way she smiles in the morning when we go in to get her up. She's always in her crib talking and will stop and give me a huge smile when she sees me. I also absolutely love the way she cuddles up with me when she's tired. (Even if she won't actually follow through with a nap.)
Re: What do you love?
I could go on and on. I'm loving this 6-month stage way too much.
Also, when he's on all fourths rocking back and forth and leaps forward like a frog and faceplants every time (it's hilarious and he's having a ball).
How he reaches his hands out for me to be picked up or he's got enough of the person holding him and wants mommy.
He knows exactly that there's certain things he does that make me literally LOL and he rides them out to get me to laugh over and over again.
His smile. My god it melts my heart every time.
I could go on and on..I love my son.
I also love when she's sleepy and I put her on my shoulder, she's the perfect size right now to still rest her head on my shoulder when I hold her little butt!

What don't I love, that would be a short list!
