Talk me down... Back pain?

I'm a total AW this week. I never imagined I would become this insane being PGAL. I'll apologize in advance!

I've been having back pain since yesterday. More focused in my butt (sorry) like almost to my leg. I had this about five days before my bfp, possibly related to implantation, never had back pain in my previous pregnancy, and I typically get a sort of similar type of back pain pre-AF. (Which is why I'm extra nervous). I'm basically convincing myself that all back pain is bad, and that I'm going to lose this baby. No cramping, no spotting, just a whole lotta crazy. I put a call into my OB just to try to ease my mind, but this is making me nervous. I do have a history of back issues and I'm 8 months post broken leg (was walking weird since). Obviously I'm going right to the crazy place. Talk me down?

((hugs)) hon.  It could be totally unrelated to the pregnancy.  In fact, it most likely is not related at all.  It could be so many things.  If you are truly concerned or if it is extremely painful, called your doctor.  If it was me, unless it was overly intense or there was bleeding, I wouldn't be too concerned.

I had the same thought - I get "it" all the time whether pregnant or not.

I had bad back pain very early on. Before my bfp I thought I had stretched my butt muscle wrong, but now I think it's pg related as my right butt cheek consistently has a dull ache. I think it's a form of sciatica with my uterus stretching & LO although small likes my right side.

I don't have any advice, but FX that it's nothing worrisome!

I have BAD sciatica pain all the time and that's what it sounds like to me!!! Big ((hugs)) because I know PgAl brain sucks so bad.

You ladies rock thx for talking me down. Called the OB just for extra peace of mind. I think sciatica too but I just freaked out instantly. Thank you!

I'm sorry I don't have any advice either. Hopefully it's nothing pg related and your OB is able to ease your fears.

It's also possible that your uterus is just tilted more towards the back. I have a retroverted uterus so I had a lot of lower back pain early on with all my pregnancies.

Just spoke to my OB's office, who seem pretty sure it's sciatic pain and could be related or may not be, but they've assured me that it's probably all fine. ::exhales::

PgAL sucks! I have had all sorts of different back pains through out my pg. I agree with PPs, definitely sounds like it could be sciatica. (((Hugs))) and hope you feel better soon!
