I really dislike when people have their weddings over Memorial Day, Labor Day, and other holiday/long weekends. My engaged friend was just telling me her prospective wedding date--Labor Day next year. Ugh...I know they think they're being "helpful" because it gives people more time to travel and whatever, but frick. I have other stuff going on those weekends. Every year.
Consider holiday weekends pre-booked and off-limits for your special day.
Tht, number 1 and I think you are incorrect about Despicable Me. We finally rented it last week. It was cute, but I was kinda let down after all of the build up. I haven't seen the second yet though.
On a positive note, the vet has determined he's FUCKING PSYCHO and we're going to try doggy xanax. I just honestly look forward to the day we don't have to clean the carpets every weekend and change his wiener diaper at lunch time.
I feel bad for people who are stuck with terrible pets. You're stuck for yearssssssssssss.
We had a German Shepherd with incontinence issues late in his life. Every time I had to clean up after him I felt the exact description you previously listed. Then when he finally did pass I felt tremendous guilt for feeling that way. Sure, I was somewhat relieved to not have to have those duties, but his lack of presence made me feel much worse than I had anticipated .
Sorry-- totally not trying to be a Debbie Downer. I can just relate to how you feel now.

Put some EO on him! LOL. I am serious. They have blends you can use on your dog. My cat keeps shitting on the floor in front of T's room, so I cleaned the area with lemon and peppermint oil and he hasn't touched it.

My love for it (both 1 & 2) blossomed after watching it 5 times. It's so cute and funny, and I love the music. I find something else in it every time that makes me giggle. I've watched them both a thousand times.
On that note, I had zero build up to it. Just bought it on a whim this year. I hate when build up ruins movies for me.
Although I heard scentsy has a good product and my house smells like piss because of this FUCKING DOG :P
Which brings me to a question. Am I: 1. An awesome person because I have a dog that is ruining everything I own, but I will keep him until he dies like a responsible pet owner 2. A terrible person because I make comments about him dying all the time 3. A gross person because I have a dog that pisses in the house 4. A person who didn't train him right, hasn't tried everything, etc. like everyone assumes.
*Disclaimer* I've only made it this far. You are a person who loves your pet no matter what. You took that animal in and will give them a loving home whether they ruin your shit or not because you love them. You may joke about them dying but you'll be devistated when it happens. I've been there and am going through it now. Thanks for making me cry at work.
All the job posting websites and online applications should just take the uploaded word resume.
I am so sick of typing out or c & p my job history!
This is the worst part of looking for a new job for me. I hate when I'm interested in applying and I click on the link to see a 4 page application where I have to type in everything.

We got married over Labor Day weekend (on a Sunday) it was the summer after we graduated college and none of our friends had PTO at their new jobs yet (including DH). All of them were really glad that we had our wedding at a time they could actually come and not have to worry about missing work.
Our families were also pretty pleased since it was at the lake house and they still got to go boating.

My dog is a trash monger. Seriously, anyone remember the pic I posted of him eating an entire door just to get to the garbage?
He is very well trained. Would stop on a dime at the sound of his name being called (well, until recently when his hearing went). He listens to everything and does as he is told better than and dog I have ever seen, except when it comes to trash. He just won't stay out of it.
So our garbage goes out every.single.fucking.morning. It is annoying, but the only way we don't have to pick up coffee filters and banan peels every day when we come home from work.

I told our family to pencil us in for Labor Day every year and to blame it on L - she is the one who decided to come a week early.

@flamingemu I'm not saying that my situation is worse than yours- because it's not- but having been in my situation for so long, I wish my dog had a problem that I could have a solution for like (annoyingly) taking my trash out daily.
My dog makes my home embarrassing and filthy. He marks EVERYTHING. Our carpet is ruined. Our furniture. If we don't shampoo the carpets every week, it smells like pee in here. I'm not buying a new sofa because of him. Can't buy new carpet because of him. It makes me severely depressed, and I love him dearly, but the day he passes will be a weight off my shoulders. I am scared to get another dog because I can't go through this. He's a good dog otherwise, but I can't live in this filth. And I had a ferret for fuck's sake, so my standards are pretty fucking low, HA!
I feel like I'm a closet pee-liver. Like, nobody who visits my home would know I live in piss cause we clean like hell, but if you look close enough you'll see drip marks on some of w's toys. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Oh, I get it - it sucks. I was just commiserating. It took us a while to try to get to the bottom of it and finally gave up. Is your dog crate trained? Ours isn't (he eats through all the crates) so I have no idea if that would help with the peeing, just asking for curiosity sake.

And because TB never lets me edit - commiserating about the generally good dog with a bad thing. Not comparing the issue itself.

@tinyhumantoe what you're describing is EXACTLY what we dealt with in our last house. It was such a nice house but my little dog peed EVERYWHERE...even right after we would take him out. I was so embarrassed when we had the carpets cleaned and the guy said he could smell the pee (even though we cleaned the spots constantly). I know how frustrating it is!
We debated getting rid of him so many times but I was afraid someone else wouldn't put up with it and he would end up in a shelter.
