Another question please - RE: CP

Ladies - I am still trying to analyze everything right now so if you could weigh in I would appreciate it.

 

I am trying to figure out if I may be experiencing a CP:

I am CD 30/ DPO 13 I have no signs of AF, no +HPT.  My LP is usually 10-11 days, I usually O on CD 17-19 and my normal cycles are 28-30.

 

Can any of you shed some light on what you were seeing with your CP?

Are you temping? If you aren't temping there's no way to confirm when ovulation actually occurred. It's possible you ovulated later than usual and just having a wacky cycle.

Example: my cycles were 31-33 days for the past year. This pregnancy my cycle was crazy. I didn't even ovulate until day 32/33. So anything is possible.

If you're having a cp, you would get a +hpt, then get -hpts or fading hpts.

I'm mobile and can't see your sig. Ditto to what KMW said. Why do you think you're having a CP with no +HPT? With that you would have gotten a positive and then maybe a negative. You're likely just having an off cycle, which can happen periodically.

I do temp, O with dotted crosshairs on CD 17 but confirmed with progesterone  level on CD 21.  I rotate shifts from days to nights ( i am a nurse) so my chart has a lot of open circles because of the temping time but the temps themselves have been consistent.  I have found just from experimenting that as long as my temp is taken after a solid few hours of sleep it is the same, regardless of the time its taken so I tend to believe my temps are accurate.

@grailseeker14 Thanks for the information.  I don't think that I am experiencing a CP at this point - since I have not had a +HPT.  I am not tracking CM and I changed my OPK brand this cycle and they never lined up with the 1 FRER that I did do.  I am trying to relax and not obsess over the entire process.

I did have my progesterone level checked so I feel like FF is probably accurate on my O date.  Those charts are the only ones that I have done.

I'm not sure how fast progesterone rises to verify ovulation occurred via bloodwork, but will all your open circles & how your chart looks, I really wouldn't be surprised if ovulation on was cd21.

I, too, think you may have ovulated on CD21.  Like PPs have said, you have regular cycles, until you don't.  I had a couple cycles over my year TTC that my LP went from 10 or 11 days to 15 days.  I was certain I was pregnant both times, but kept getting -HPT no matter how many I took or every brand I could find.  It's possible that you are just experiencing a wonky cycle with a longer LP.  Or, that you will get a +HPT tomorrow.  You just never know.  Good luck!

I'm going to give you a little tough love.  Don't borrow trouble, okay?  There is absolutely no reason to think that you are having a CP. 13DPO is still early, particularly if you might have ovulated a day later than you think and given that you don't know what to expect with a CP, it doesn't sound like it is part of your history.  Given that you were also asking about other people's charts recently, I would just encourage you to take a few deep breaths.  So much of TTCAL is waiting. I know, it really sucks, we've all been there and it can drive you crazy, but shoot for patience and try to distract yourself.  Test in another couple of days. Fingers crossed for you.

Progesterone starts to rise right after ovulation and peaks around 7dpo. I used to have a chart that showed what progesterone should be one or two days post O (I think it was on one of my lab reports). I would be interested in what the CD21 level was since OP is guessing she was only 4dpo on that day but based on her chart, I'm going to say 2dpo tops (with CD21 being a fall-back rise). Either way, her progesterone could show ovulation as early as 1dpo (though it would/should be very low).

OP, I also agree with not borrowing trouble. Grailseeker gave a great description of what a CP is. In my personal experience, I got a positive on a FRER at 17dpo with my CP. I did not get positives on wondfos with it. My HCG was 14 according to a blood test that day. I know of many others who did get positives on both wondfos and FRERs with even lower HCG levels.

I don't think you are as far as you think you are. Keep testing and good luck.

Thank you all for the information. I think in my delirium working night shift I posted that i was thinking it may be a CP. In reality I know there has to be a positive test somewhere in order for that to be true. As I mentioned in response I was more inquiring to see what testing and temps looked like during the process.

I had progesterone drawn at approximately 11 am on CD 21 and it was elevated to 6.3 I think when I found specific ranges it was in LP days 5 to 10 dpo.

Thank you for the reassurance regarding the wondfo they are great for urges to POAS but I think that is about it..i was beginning to think it was me. I had the same troubles with the opk.

I am trying to be patient but like I said I have been working nights and it leaves way too much time for all the analyzing and what ifs.
