A student's mother just had a baby girl....they named her Sevaeh.  Yep....student told me it was between that and Nevaeh but Nevaeh was getting to be too common for mom.  UGH!

This is on a slight tangent, but I have actually met a couple of kids whose names are their fathers' names spelled backwards. I don't feel comfortable sharing their actual names, but here's a hypothetical example that is NOT one of these kids' names.

If the father's name were Liam, the kid would be Mail.

Is it James/Semaj? I've seen that one a few times.

I have a friend who's a teacher and has a student named Semaj. His parents told her it's because Semaj is a Hebrew name. I think they just either lied to her or are really gullible.

It is a Hebrew name. It means "obeying The Lord"

I'm not sure if it's a Hebrew name or not, but the family *I* know who named their child Semaj definitely does not have any Hebrew ties. They straight up told us that they chose the name because daddy is James.
