cramps at 24 weeks

I am 24 weeks pregnant. For the last 4 or 5 days I have had a cramp in my left side and also in the lower abdomen on the left. Not sure if it is growing pains, not sure if I am just stoppednup or if it is something else.

I just got done with a round of flagyl for bacterial vaginosis, I hope it is not related to that. I brought it up to my OB at my regular visit this passed Monday. She said that it could be intestinal and I could just be constipated. I thought she might be right, but I ave definitely taken care of business the last couple of days and do not feel stopped up.

They are not the worst cramps in the world, but they are consistant, always in the same spot for 4 or 5 days and strong enough to wake me up in the middle of the night from discomfort.

I am thinking of calling the OB again. I don't want to be dramatic, it could just be round ligament pain, but I am still a little worried.

I am only 20 weeks, but wanted to share my take:  I experience stomach-y cramps often, usually after a large meal or exercise.  They are not quite period-like cramps but more like gas-y cramps.  They are very uncomfortable but don't necessarily qualify as "painful."  I think often it's hard to tell the difference between stomach issues and cramping during pregnancy--at least it has been for me.  I think unless there is sharp pain or bleeding, you are just fine.

That being said, my doc always says call if there's any doubt!  I always call the nurse's line and run things by them if I'm at all concerned about issues like this.

I made an appointment for today. I have been feeling like the bacterial vaginosis is not gone (ugh), and want to make sure I take care of that. I will talk to them about the cramps. I always feel like a hypochondriac, but I think it just comes with the territory.
