So, my boys have always been on an eat every three hours schedule. They get bottles (7.5 oz) at 7, 10, 1, 4, and 7. Now that we are feeding solids (2 times a day) it is like I am constantly feeding and it is hard for me to get it all in between naps and such. I have decided to try to move them to only 4 bottles of 8oz. They don't always finish their 7.5oz bottles but get more of them.
I was going to try to do 7, (Solid) 11, (solid) 3 (solid) 7 bedtime.
I am worried though because if I drop a bottle will that be bad for their daily caloric intake. I know that solids should not replace bottles til later, but it seems like a lot of people only feed bottles every 4 hours and I am ALWAYS feeding them. Then again, I want to do what is best.
Any thoughts?
Re: Feeding related, would this be a mistake?
I BF and we have been at 4 feedings for a while now. Our schedule is just as you described. On wholesomebabyfood.com it suggests a daily milk intake of 24 - 37 ounces for 6 - 8 month olds...so 4 8 ounce bottles is just fine!
