I went for an ultrasound due to some bleeding over the weekend. Baby B did not have a heartbeat anymore. This is completely devastating, feels like a cruel joke. My OBGYN doesn't know why this happened, she said she felt confident after last weeks appointment that my remaining baby would be ok even though baby A was gone.

My hubby said he had been planning on making me a Mother's Day card from the baby. That hit me so hard. I don't know how I can face IVF again. I'm having the removal procedure today. I just want this to be over.

I think you need to decide when the right time for *you* is. Everybody deals with loss differently. My loss wasn't from an IVF pregnancy, so I can't speak to that specifically, but I knew that I wanted to jump right back in. That doesn't mean that's right for you though, you know? If you don't feel ready, then it's OK to wait. If you feel ready right away and your doctor says that it's OK, then it's alright to start as soon as you want too. I hope you can find peace at this time.

I'm so very sorry. Miscarriage after IVF feels like it shouldn't be allowed. After my loss, I really struggled for some time. It helped me that we already had a trip planned to the US VI. I took a trip after mc #1, too. I think you just have to be really gentle with yourself and OH. You'll feel ready again eventually, but there's no reason to rush it. Big (((hugs))).

OH NO!!! Im so very sorry and will be keeping you in my prayers. I really just want to send you the biggest hug ever. I took a year off after my MC before starting IFV back up again. I just need to take the time to heal and process it all. DH and I went on vacation a month later just to get away. I was very angry and bitter and it was going into Thanksgiving/Christmas season so I just wasnt in the mood to deal with folks. But some people move forward by throwing themselves back into the game and trying to get pregnant as soon as possible. Loss is hard and effects us all individually. Allow yourself to feel what you feel and dont feel bad for any emotions you have. Thinking of you...

I am so sorry for your losses.

I've had 2 losses and all I can say is infertility +miscarriages should not be allowed to do together. One in itself is bad enough! For me personally, I went to the next cycle as soon as I was medically allowed. The hcg takes a while to drop and by that point, I was a little better of emotionally (although, of course, you'll never be "over" this). The thoughts bring tears to my eyes at least once every few days.

My advice is take your time and see how you feel emotionally. Your body has to get back to normal physically, so take this time for your mental health to heal as well. Try throwing yourself into a new hobby or project around the house. After my last miscarriage, I went on a trip and did things I knew I couldn't do while pregnant (ie: parasailing). I'd much rather be pregnancy, but in the mean time....it occupied my mind. Big hugs-I'm here if you need to talk!
