Baby Names

Enjoy these crazy real names, bumpies

So I was at an event with a program (I won't say what or where) and came across the following yooneek names. Feeling bad for these kids. Use of periods below is rampant due to weird spellings.

Terrible spelling:

J.aimelin (pronounced Jamie-lynn)

E.maley (Emily, I swear to Christ this is real. My jaw dropped.)

McKense.y

Ryve.r

Carly.e (Carly, still praying this was a typo)

Just bad:

Unique (at least they spelled it right?)

Mysti.k

R.aiden

At least it provided me with entertainment during the down times of a 3 hour event!

I'm a fuckin' T-Rex.

    Those are bad.

I've seen a R.aiden or two, and R.yver is the last name of a guy I went to college with.

  • I saw one in my hometown newpaper yesterday: Paislynn (girl) Because naming your child Paisley is stupid - but adding a "lynn" on the end gives it some class. :p

Where in the hell do these people come from?

I know an Emeleigh as well! When you're giving your kid the most popular possible name, you must opt for the craziest spelling. It is known.  8-|

@ConversationFear Hahaha Paislynn. I'm waiting for the little Chevrons and Chevlynns once the current pattern trend fades into obscurity.

@dogperson11 Yeah, it's very similar to radon, the radioactive noble gas. Such a pleasant association!

@Helenahhandbasket At least Unique's parents didn't spell it Younikke, however atrocious the actual name may be. Half a point to Unique's parents.

I don't understand these off the wall spellings.

Raiden isn't too bad, though. I've seen that in a lot of baby name places.....isn't it some kind of mythology name? It, personally, does remind me of Raid insecticide, though.

Oh lord have mercy. I saw a "Mae.syn" on my FB feed the other day, (for a girl, natch) and I thought that was the worst thing I've ever seen, but Pais.lynn really takes it to a whole new level.
