Upsie Belly (Belly Bandit) or another support belt?

I am getting the impression that a support belt or something would probably do me some good.   At least the internet leads me to believe it may help some with the belly pulling sensations and RLP I'm feeling more and more by the end of the day now - things that I can only see getting worse as the belly continues to grow.   The one I was handed down by a friend (who had tailbone/pelvis issues with her first kiddo) is a bit too thin to work for me, and I suspect it would work better if I were having more pelvis pain than belly pain.

So the Upsie Belly has been fairly well-recommended on other boards, the other options I have been considering are the BRU "Maternity Support" with the elastic that stretches over the top of the belly, or some sort of wider one.   I'm just hoping for experience from those who have BTDT for what works best for the twin belly, and if there's anything I should consider in a belt that has to do with this super-quick rate of growth that's happening.

TIA (and my apologies for asking a question I'm sure has been asked before, I did google I swear!  Just looking for a multiple-pregnancy focused response)

Thanks @quinncat, I was wondering if sizing would be an issue -- thanks for the tip.

  • My OB recommended the Prenatal Cradle Best Cradle and I just ordered one today. It's designed for multiples and is adjustable. Hope it does everything it says because it sounds like it will hit all my symptoms. My OB wore one while she was pregnant and loved it!

If you got it at buy buy baby, I'm pretty sure you can exchange for a better size. When I got mine, the sales girl kept trying to size me into a smaller size. I kept having to tell her no, I'm having twins. I'm going be a tank. She told me if I have size issues to return it. I ended up wearing mine until the end.

@ceechie, did you get the smaller size?   I am waffling between a Large and an Extra Large right now and am not sure which one will fit best the longest, considering I'm only 15 weeks now.

I'm in Canada as well, so am pretty sure I don't get to exchange if I buy the wrong one.  They're also about $20 more expensive here, so I don't want to wait too much money....

I was a size 6-8 when I bought and I'm pretty sure I got a medium but the sales girl kept pushing for a small. I was able to use until about 35 weeks. At that point my belly was too low for anything to wrap under. I loved t and wore it daily. It was super soft too. Some are kinda itchy and plasticy.

I got a prenatal cradle last week for work since I stand all day. The OB actually sent me to a local pharmacy that specializes in home medical equipment with a prescription and insurance covered it 100% so that might be something to check into too. When I got there they showed me Best Cradle too. I got the adjustable in a size large if that helps. Before pregnancy I wore size 18 pants. It seems to help though at the moment I spend a fair amount of time tugging it back down where it should be- for once in my life my belly isn't quite big enough to hold it in place properly yet! I'm sure that won't last long though.

Well, my upsie belly arrived today and I am pretty happy with it so far :). The width is just what I was looking for, it's comfy and has just the right combo of stretch to it, and the XL size seems great with lots of Belt still to grow into (I was a size 18 pre-pregnancy for anyone who searches this later). Will wear it to work tomorrow and hope it continues to work :)
