LO is over tired and wont go to sleep

im crying, shes been screaming for hours, DH is out of town for work and I just need some hugs and reassurance I guess. She has napped maybe 30 minutes all day today and it's now 5 o clock and she has just been screaming for hours. She has drained me from comfort nursing, and has gotten herself so worked up she won't even latch. It's just been a horrible hard day is all...


PS: It's me AlexaWinston I promise I'm a reg. I just finally got my name changed for privacy reasons. Turns out having your actual name isn't really a smart thing :)

    Welcome to my weekend.  Yesterday and today.  She finally went down about half an hour ago.

    I agree with PPs. I'm sorry you are gong through this without YH. Hang in there, she will eventually fall asleep.

    Skin to skin always works for us. I suggest a zipper sleeper though so you can redress the sleeping baby easier.

    DS always fell asleep in the car so if we were having a rough day I'd stick him in his car seat and drive around until he fell asleep. Then I hit up the Starbucks drive thru :)

    Awe you both poor babies...hugs. This was us two days ago. No sleep the whole day, but by the evening time she passed out while rocking her, swaddled in darkness with nightlight, and with the fan and Pandora Soothing Sounds playing. I thought it would be like for all night...um no. But then the next day she slept the entire day, so you just never know. I pray you get a nice, long stretch tonight! Someone should! Sounds like you are due! MH is away on business starting tomorrow-Wed night, so I feel ya!! :(( this too shall pass...
