I've been having cramps for quite a few days now and have had a couple of problems with light-headedness over the past week. I'm not on BC but we use condoms. Once a few weeks ago there was some direct contact that essentially amounted to the "pull out" method.
In light of the odd symptoms I bought and took a digital pregnancy test today and HOLY CRAP it says pregnant. I haven't missed a period yet, I don't really keep track but I think I would be due for a period in the next week.
Tonight, I find some bleeding. Not light brown spotting, but actual bleeding. Not massively heavy, but I'm so confused. I intend to make an appointment to see my doctor on Monday but I am so freaking confused and feeling pretty ignorant right now. Sorry for the essay. Anyone have any input? I hate to wait until I can get an appointment to get a clue as to what's happening.
Re: Looking for input....pregnancy test confusion
Bleeding could mean nothing or it could mean that it's a chemical pregnancy. I'd take another test. If it comes out negative, most likely it was a chemical pregnancy, which is a very early miscarriage. I'd call the dr. no matter what though. They might want to check your levels no matter what the next pregnancy test shows.
ETA: Sending tons of sticky vibes your way.
Thanks. That at least gives me something to research. I'm definitely eager to meet with the doctor. But until Monday....I'm totally in the dark here. I could not be more clueless about pregnancy. Not something we were really planning on any time soon. So any feedback while I'm busy obsessing over the weekend is much appreciated!
Your doctor should have an after hours emergency number. I'd definitely call it tomorrow. An on-call dr. should call you back. Do you know your blood type? If you're RH negative and your DH is positive, you'll need to get a shot even if everything ends up being fine with the baby.
Good luck! I had a chemical pregnancy right before this pregnancy.
Hadn't thought about the emergency number. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks for the advice. Goodnight!
