AW: U/S update - we saw a flicker! (torigirl)

At 5w5d past IUI, we had an ultrasound today and saw our little bean. And, there was a flicker of a heartbeat - not strong enough yet to record BPM, but it was still very much there!! This is the first time I have ever seen a HB so this was amazing. The nurse said it's very unusual to see HB this early.

Yep, still just one bean in there. I think I'll be in the clear by 8 weeks. The nurse said another one could "pop up" before then. Not the most scientific explanation but I guess they don't want to give a definitive answer yet.
