    My cousins name is Onessa. Funny enough she was named that because my uncle misread the word onesie and thought it was beautiful. Lol. I like Anessa!

    At first glance, I thought of Amnesia. Then it made me think you'd just forgotten the "V" in Vanessa. It's NMS, so I vote "Nay."

    It's not a bad name, but when I see it I instantly think of MTV's "Road Rules" and "The Challenge" and that kind of ruins it for me. But it is kind of pretty.

    I knew a girl named Anissa. I think it is ok. If you like it. It isn't a weird name.

    NMS, but I definitely wouldn't side-eye it. I like the sound of Ah-nee-sah better than what I think yours may be - Ah-ness-ah. I could be totally wrong about the pronunciation though :)

    NMS but it's not terrible or side eye worthy. I just think Vanessa without the V. If you like it though, use it!

    This reminds me of Odessa, which reminds me of the Odessa Steps sequence in Battleship Potemkin, which made me vote no.  That said, this is just my opinion, and I'm kind of impossible about names.

    My sister in law is named Anessa. Her mother is originally from Finland so I guess it's a Finnish name. It works for her!

    I taught a little girl named Anessa years ago.  She was the sweetest thing and so creative!
