little nervous

Im 16 weeks today and have no baby belly yet. This is my firt pregnancy. Just really nervous that the baby is growing like it should. Has anyone else expirenced this? When did alot of you show with your first?

Re: little nervous

  • I did not show with my first until 5-6m, then my belly was HUGE. I assumed I would show early because I was about 115lbs before pregnancy but it didn't happen that way. Don't worry I'm sure baby is growing just fine!
  • Everyone carries differently. I have a friend who never starts to show until 20+ weeks. It's just the way she's built. So don't worry, I'm sure baby is fine :)

  • Same here - I will be 16 weeks on Thursday and have no bump at all...I didn't show until like 23-24 weeks with DD.  Not visibly to strangers anyway.  Don't worry, everyone is different.

  • It is normal to not show for a while with your first pregnancy.

  • Sounds normal. I think I started to show around 18/19 weeks with #1.

  • I wasn't noticeably pregnant with my first son until probably close to 30 weeks. Seriously. I hated not having a bump! However, this time around - I started to show around 10 weeks. At 14 weeks I look like I did when I was 24 weeks pregnant last time!

  • I didn't start showing with DS until 18 or 19 weeks.  Everyone carries differently so try not to worry. It's pretty normal not to be showing for a first pregnancy at this point; plus height and weight can play a factor too.

  • I had a tiny bump that looked like fat and not really a bump at 20 weeks. I didn't pop until 24 weeks. Not showing until later is normal for FTM and believe me, as a STM I wish that was the case with every pregnancy!

  • I'm not really showing much yet either at 14+4.  Not to strangers or people I don't see often at least.  I wouldn't worry!

  • I didn't start showing with DD until about 18-20 weeks, but what you wear makes a difference. You might not think you have a belly in regular clothes, but then you pull out maternity clothes and there it is!
