It's not hugely popular, but it's been pretty steady in the rankings for the last 20 or so years. It seems it's hovering in the 50s and 60s. I don't see it getting much more popular than that.
I like this name a lot!

Popularity varies widely by state. It's a top-25 name in some states (NH, SC, ME, MS), but barely in the top 1,000 in others (AZ, WA, UT). Look up the ranking for your state if you want to get an idea of its popularity where you live: https://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/state/index.html

It is one of my all time favoirte names despite having some negative associations with Cameron's. It is more popular than I'd like but the only reason we aren't using it is because I don't want a Cam and a Graeme.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
I think it goes really well with your other son's names. I have to look up the meaning but I don't think that would be enough to keep me from using it.
Thanks for the ssa link- it was #18 here in NH. Liam was #4
I will practice calling him Cameron this week and see if I like it.
Xavier is my current favorite but everyone I talk to about is all what are you thinking. So I might be alone in my liking of it. Although dh likes it enough to put on our huge 14 name list.
It mean "crooked nose" which is just weird. Thanks for the ssa link- it was #18 here in NH. Liam was #4 I will practice calling him Cameron this week and see if I like it. Wha?
Xavier is a gorgeous, underused saint's name.

I have a nephew named Cameron, so its ehhhh for me. Cameron is his middle name, but he goes by it and by the full version, no nicknames. Its ok, dh loves the name...not the fact his brother "stole it" from him...i couldnt care less haha
Well I love Cameron because it is my DS's name and I LOVE that you are considering it for a boy
We have met some other Camerons, a couple boys and a couple girls. To me it's weird on a girl, almost like hearing of a girl named Thomas or John. It's in that sweet spot where it's familiar to everyone without being overused. I love it and it suits our sweet boy. I also think it will age fairly well.
Not a huge fan of Xavier, but again I am biased toward Cameron! FWIW our other DS is Drew...
Also, regarding the meaning, it doesn't necessarily mean the the bearer of the name has a crooked nose, but instead is believed to have originated from a nickname of one of the original members of the Scottish Cameron "clan".
