Cloth Diapering

I can't believe I have to ask this... where do you shop? NCDR

Apparently I've been in mom mode for far too long. My body has changed, my wardrobe doesn't fit anymore. I was just holding out to buy more maternity clothes but that's on hold for a few more months. Now I realize... I don't know where to shop anymore. I'm not a college student, I don't need to dress like one. But I'm not quite into mom jeans yet. Where do you find just nice, normal clothes? Nothing neon or sequined... can anyone help me out here? Apparently I don't know how to dress as an adult. Yikes!

  • Work or casual?

I like the limited for work clothes.

I suck at casual clothes. I don't even know what people wear as casual clothes anymore. I used to always get my jeans at express. But my last few pairs of skinny jeans I got at the limited.

  • Casual. I wear scrubs to work, so you see my dilemma. I'm in scrubs at work or yoga pants at home. I need to move on!
  • I think you really have to search if you want to fall into the hip but adult clothing category. I get my jeans at Maurices but you have to search for normal non blingy jeans. Sometimes you can find nice tops there too. Old Navy I think might have reasonable stuff. I really don't know though. I'm in desperate need to shop for nice clothes but my body is still changing and I live 3 hours from a decent city to shop in. I'm also a cheap ass and don't want to pay $75 for a shirt.

  • Old Navy and JCP are my "staples" stores. I get some "fun" stuff from Ann Taylor or the Limited when I have $ and feel like shopping for me, which sadly is rare.

  • I'm the wrong person to ask this. I have a weird style. Most of my current clothes come from either Lane Bryant or Torrid. My pre pregnancy clothes (aka before Cade) were all from Old Navy, Hot Topic (sad I know), or a custom dress shop in Seattle. I'm very hipster/scene girl meets rockabilly. So, adult clothes are not my forte. I say dress how you want.

  • Love banana republic for both work as casual wear. But it's spendy! But their pants fit me perfectly which is hard to find.

For tops I do old navy, target, gap and the like.

I got cute maternity clothes and I'm having a hard time going back to regular clothes. I'm so bored with my wardrobe.

    Oh yeah H&M!

  • If you have a TJ max or marshal's, you can find good options there sometimes... Are you more of a jeans and tshirt casual or maxi dress and flats casual?

  • I still like American Eagle for jeans, and crop pants. They also have these great boyfriend Bermuda shorts this season that are an awesome compromise between a mom short and shorty shorts. They are slim cut but long enough that I can care for the kids without vein indecent. I've also fallen in love with button down shirts. They're less clingy in the mid section.

  • The Limited (for when I'm feeling like looking nice) and Target (for more casual wear) mostly. But it depends on your body type too. Just have to see what fits you.

Ann Taylor Loft has good sales and so does NY&Co. I love banana republic's stuff but they're alittle spendy for me. Take a look at all the different websites b/c most have a "looks we love" page to give your some ideas. Find what appeals to you and go from there.

  • Banana Republic is my favorite. I love their t-shirts for casual and their slacks for work. Their cut is more generous and not so generous I feel like an old woman.

  • Well I'm 27 so here's where I shop

    Gap
American eagle for jeans and basic tops
    Madewell
    Aritsia
    Loft
Old navy for dresses, basics but not jeans unless it's their super skinny colour ones in like red those are cute

  • These are all good ideas. Okay I'm glad I asked. I need IRL friends with as good of advice!
  • I like Dillard's. They carry Code Blue jeans and tops, I have found they fit well, are trendy, but not like a kid would ware. More subdue treandy,I guess.

  • I have felt old for years! The styles suck. I can't find a normal pair of jeans or a normal top. If they have a cute shirt, it's in a horrid print. Or a normal print, but designed dumb. I hate it.
