I was wondering if my DS is the only baby that goes into hysterics when he is swaddled. Anyone else experiencing this? We have resorted to using a arm swaddle once he is asleep so he doesn't scare himself.
We were never able to swaddle because DS hated it and would scream. Perhaps I just wasn't persistent enough, but I just couldn't stand to see him struggle.
We didnt start swaddling our DD until she was about 7 weeks old because of this. She would scream her head off and it made me worried we were hurting her. I then watched "Best baby on the block" and they said all babies hate being swaddled until after it's done and then they are fine. So we started to try again and she slept through the whole nite. We continue to do it to this day and she no longer cries when i swaddle her. She smiles!
