Guess who's 30 today!!! It's going to be a lovely day. We'll be hanging with the family and I'll be going to two restaurants today lol I think that may be the best part. My kids made me breakfast in bed. It was the best toast and cereal I've ever had. They also made me a card at school and it is so cute. In a few, we're going to dye eggs for the party later this afternoon. I just hope the kids have fun!
We are doing our reveal today! We were team green but we need some good excitement given all the crap that has been going on with this pregnancy. I'm so excited!!
Happy Birthday @jensavicci hope you have a great day!!
After church, we are heading to the inlaws for a drama free family gathering!! (Drama free because sister-in-law-o-drama isn't coming!) I expect zero tears or anger (they always belong to SIL) at this family function. Yippy!!!
FIL!went out of his way to bring me back German gummi bears when he was in Germany recently. It was super nice and thoughtful. He's kind of a gruff guy, and doesn't do stuff like that very often.
We started the morning off with giving DS his basket then followed it up with homemade biscuits and gravy. We had family dinner yesterday, so today we are spending the day at home with just DH, DS, and myself.
It's so beautiful out, it's impossible to be too crabby! I'm on vacation this week, so I'm looking forward to enjoying the great weather with my fur baby and trying to get more sleep. Happy birthday, @jensavicci !!
Happy birthday @jensavicci!!!! You share a birthday with my family patriarch aka grandpa who passed away 15 years ago. April 20th is a special day for our family.
I try to stay positive and enjoy everyday of my pregnancy and not get caught up saying "I can't wait for this, I can't wait for that..." As a FTM, it's important to me to enjoy every second of this pregnancy because after the birth my life in so many ways is never going to be the same again.
DH and I have to split up for family gatherings today because they're at the same time. I made a very delicious looking strawberry shortcake for my family and am seriously considering taste testing it before I go. And my aunt made her cherry cheesecake per the pregnant lady's request soooo I'm really looking forward to dessert!
Happy birthday @jensavicci ! As far as staying positive goes, today my DD is making that very hard. But my LO is healthy and active and that is something to be positive about.
Old grumpy (aka me) needed this today!
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY @jensavicci!
My positive is that my mom is coming over and we get to spend a beautiful afternoon outside on our newly finished deck! Yay family time in the sun
DD1 is so cute, running around in her new swimsuit. Is there anything cuter than ruffles on a butt? I think not and I'm making cinnamon rolls for breakfast (it's already after 11 here. We all slept in. Glorious!)
Just curious, what's the difference between German gummi bears and American? Lol or do they just happen to be from Germany?
Haribo gummi bears originated there. The Germans are really proud of their gummi bears. In some of the hotels they put them in the pillow rather than mints. I like them better than 'merican gummi bears.
So thankful for my grandparents coming up for church and for the good food my Mom made. I'm also thankful that I didn't buy the kids tons of candy because their Sunday school class gave them a giant bag of sweets. They just crashed and I'm stealing some while they sleep.
@pfeilele - I was planning on telling you to update us on the reveal, but I see you already did. CONGRATS! I am so happy for you and glad you got some good news in the midst of it all. You were thinking it was a girl, right? Seems like I had remembered you saying that. Also, that cupcake looks so scrumptious! I need one!
Second, do you remember when you were in elementary school and the teacher wouldn't let you eat a piece of candy or chew gum, etc unless you had enough for everyone? Yeah, I'd like my portion of that delicious looking cupcake now.

Haha...well, we have a million left over so you're more than welcome to drop by if you're in Wisconsin
Happy Birthday @jensavicci From my one of my fav movies, this is for you!
Happy Easter!! Today we took DD church, it was her first time and she did great. Plus, we got to see a lot of church friends. We had not been since she was born, it was a good feeling.
Afterwards we took DD swimming for the first time. She loved it. We had turkey burgers and a pineapple Fanta. Those Fantas are pretty damn good. I hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Yes! I definitely wasn't surprised that it was a girl. No weiners on any of our ultrasounds. It was still fun though because nobody else had any idea!

Family dinner after church today and looking forward to at least three kick-ass desserts! Plus, Easter candy clearance is all I can think about!
