I'm telling on Monday -- 11 weeks, 2 days. The word will spread among friends and I'm worried something will appear on my facebook page before I can tell the bosses. I'd rather they hear it from me.
I told my bosses around 8 weeks - right after my first ultrasound, but before my first long doctor's appointment. I wanted them to know why I was going to be gone all afternoon, and I felt more comfortable doing that after I saw the heartbeat. A couple of the women that I'm friends with there also know, and absolutely everyone else can figure it out when I start showing. I'm not in a hurry for pregnancy police visits from some of my more asshatish coworkers who believe that because they managed to father a child, they are experts on pregnancy and childbirth.
I will tell ONE person from work (she's a good friend, and like a mom to me) Monday after my dr. appointment - mostly for support and because she will definitely help with my tenure issue.....everyone else...not until I have to (either showing, or frequent sickness, etc.)
I wanted to wait till my next app 1/21. But I wear a uniform and already been doing all the tricks to fit in them. I can't remeber when i could zip them all the way, the electic trick just about had it and can't wear belly band with shirt will need to tell them soon, if they need to order me pants. I don't want to wake up one morning and not be able to get in them and have to tell them than. So thinking of telling them next Friday!

First person to find out was patient of ours and that was at 5w. Co-workers and some others found out a few days after that. I will tell the big boss after my ultrasound next week.
I told my boss and a couple work friends at 5 weeks because I knew I would need their support should something go wrong or if I needed help (I'm a teacher). I told my students and the rest of the staff after my first appointment/ultrasound at 9w5d.
I'm going to wait as long as possible...my boss is retiring in mid-late February, and I am the top candidate to fill his job. I don't want my pregnancy to disqualify me from the promotion, so I am not letting anyone from work know, and I'll try to hide it as long as I can until I know how things work out with my boss's position.
I told my boss last week. She was so excited for me. I thought she was going to say something along the line of who's going to do my job while I was gone....blah blah blah, but she didn't say anything like that. She said Congratulations and gave me a hug. I was so not expecting that at all. The whole office is excited. They're all at least 20 years older than me, so they're saying they are going to have an office grandchild. Too funny
I told two people around 6 weeks that i needed support from due to m/s and also since they will be taking on some of my duties and will need to train. I plan on telling my boss next week (12 weeks) mostly because I have some safety concerns with a live virus I work with and may need to alter my duties.

I wasn't planning on telling until the end of 1st tri, but I was recently promoted and had to sign an agreement that change some things, including my disability policy (yay for full salary!). I wanted to be up front with them since I'd be taking advantage of it. So I told three of the directors at my firm and plan on telling my close friends at work after my next appointment. Gossip flies quickly in our office, so everyone will know shortly after.
