I agree to the necklace idea! My sister got a necklace for her first communion when she was little. She is DD's god mother, and for DD's baptism she gave DD that necklace. It was such a cute and sentimental idea!
Another idea is a nice picture frame. Sometimes I find religious frames have too much on them. But if you can find a simple one, those are always nice!
BTW - I have no idea what I got as first communion gifts. But I vagely remember getting a tape recorder. Which has nothing to do with communion? But I played with that thing for years!

After 3 years . . . 3 IUIs . . . and 3 IVFs . . . our miracle GIRL arrived on August 6, 2012.

EDD 10/15/16
At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
