Are you going back on your medications for PCOS if you wre on any?

I took metformin and just curious what you all are doing

I plan on discussing at my 6 week appt. The met was not prescribed by my OB practice so we will see what they say. The LC had me ask due to supply issues and there is some evidence out there that it can help. I asked at my incision check and nurse for back to me that 2 of the OBs hadn't heard of it helping with supply I PCOS ladies.

I was on Met through the end of the first trimester, I have an appt with my endocrinologist sometime this month (thanks - this thread reminded me to look that up!) and will discuss with her then.

I actually stayed on met throughout my whole pregnancy and am still on it just because I had a full refill just before giving birth. I plan to talk to my OB about this on Thurs. I don't think that I need to be on it though if I go back on birth control. Were you on it before you started TTC? They didn't find my PCOS until we started with a fertility doc.

Yeah on it while preventing. Helps regulate hormones supposedly and metabolic activity . I only took it through first trimester

I'm on the mini-pill only, otherwise I go months without a period and then have insane bleeding/clots/cramping. I was on metformin TTC and for the first 18 weeks of pregnancy. I won't go back on it unless we decide to try for another LO (I think it would be a hard sell for DH).

I wasn't on anything pre-pregnancy but I was just diagnosed right before I got pregnant. Not sure what the plan will be now but I know they want me on some type of BC to regulate my cycles.

I will be going back on it eventually. Not until things settle down with DD though - or I back to work, whichever is first. Can't deal with all of this AND the stomach upset and diet I have to go on that the Met causes me. My lactation lady said the same thing about the supply issue and my doc said if I had an issue going back in it now is fine. It's safe while breadtfeeding. So we shall see. Almost 3 weeks in ... Time will tell.
