Twist on "is he your only one?"

Random old guy at the beach today started chatting with me. He pointed to DS and asked if he was my only one. I said yup, and he said, "That's good, that's the way to do it. I have two."

I think his point was ultimately that kids are expensive, but I was like Man! Don't hold back.

He also said he was looking for lucky stones from some sheep something fish, which I took with a grain of salt. But he gave me one and I googled it, and sonavubitch he was telling the truth. And now I have one in my pocket
