When are you all going to do a first hair cut? We are thinking of cutting LOs bangs tonight. They are all on her face. I plan to leave the rest so it can grow long. What are you doing?
A is still basically bald. One of her brothers was pretty bald until he was over 2 and it looks like she might be too. She has a large collection of headbands but the poor girl has no hopes of ever wearing a hair clip or anything.
My oldest had his first haircut by one year old, although he really did not have too much hair.
Edit I love all the babies with lots of hair but I do love my little bald girl. I bought a soft brush just before she was born and we have yet to need it. I look forward to finding out what colour her hair will be and if it will be curly or straight.
My little guy has had 5 haircuts already. Most were just trimming the back and around his ears. He needs another one but may wait til closer to his birthday.
@smg2302 Disneyland or Disney World? I live close to Disney World, so I want to do that as well. However, ds is bald, so we might be a couple of years away from that
I have him penciled in right before he starts kindergarten ; ). Another baldy here. What he little he does have is white blond and super fine. Both DH and I have curly hair so I'm hoping he does too. it's fuzzy when he gets out of the bath. If he does than it will be awhile before we would cut it.
DS has a bit of a mullet going on, so we're planning on cutting it on his first birthday. He twirls the hair at the back of his head to fall asleep, so hopefully he can do without the mullet part.
I keep joking that my DS has a middle head mullet. He has pretty thin hair all over his head except for a fairly fluffy/curly section going across the back of his head. I just keep playing with it thinking, "Should I trim this part???"
My son had a mullet style starting so we just chopped the back off and trimmed around his ears. I was told it was bad luck to cut a child's hair before they are one. We did not follow that advice though...
Annabelle's bangs are so long, but for now I just clip them to a side or give her a pony tail (or variation). I am not sure when she will get her first hair cut.
@jojo716 Disney World. My MIL works for them, so we go pretty frequently, or at least we did pre-DD. Apparently the barber shop on main street does a first haircut package where they get their first set of ears.
We took him for his first haircut yesterday. It was getting a little crazy in the back and around the ears, and they just cleaned it up. He did really well!
DD's bangs are getting pretty long but I just keep sweeping them to the side LOL. We won't cut it until she's at least 1 but then again even then she will probably not need an actual cut. I will most likely cut her bangs myself at that point and then once there is enough hair throughout her head I will take her in to get a trim.
