Kid's got quite the appetite! FF question...

LO is 3 weeks today. We have been pretty lucky so far and he usually only cries when he needs to be changed or is hungry, so by process of elimination it's been pretty easy to figure out what he wants/needs. He also does the hand munching thing when he's hungry. We have been slowly increasing his formula, hospital recommended 1-2 oz every 3-4 hours for a newborn.... Of course I'm going to pay attention to my kid and feed him when he's hungry, so now at 3 weeks he is wanting to take down 4-5 oz every 2-3 hours. He wakes up eating his hands, belly rumbling, sometimes only an hour or so after we feed him, I'm like "how can you be hungry again???" He is pooping normal, gaining weight, no spit up, burps a couple of times per feeding....seems to be normal! Anyone else's baby being a lil Heffa?

Yep. Baby N will be 6 weeks on Wednesday, and he is taking down about 4-5 ounces every 3 hours. Sometimes, though he will divide that up during his wake time in the day. At his last checkup, he weighed 12 lbs! He was 9lbs 4oz at birth. The pediatrician says he is normal, just a good eater. I say he eats just like his daddy and brothers.

You're probably hitting the three week growth spurt. Sounds totally normal. My guy eats 4-6 ounces at a time every 3-4 hours. Sometimes he splits it up and cluster feeds, where he'll eat three ounces and then cat nap and then have two more an hour later, then maybe one more a little later before he really crashes.

LO is 3 weeks today, and we just gave her 4oz for the first time. She's growing up

Mine is 3 weeks and can take up to 8 ounces at a time. His pediatrician said it's totally fine.

6 weeks tomorrow. Eats 4-5oz anywhere from 2-4 hours.

6 weeks on Tuesday and Sloan takes anywhere from 2.5 oz to 4.5 oz every three hours. And she was/ is on the small side. Her current weight is around 8 lbs.

My lil guy is 5 wks today and he eats 4oz every 3-4 hrs. At 3 wks I believe is when I up'd his to 4oz. I'm pretty sure I need to up to 5oz here soon.

Ok so it sounds like it's normal!! @legallyginger‌ I read about the 3 week growth spurt and was hoping that was the case. @bmerr‌ also read about the 32 oz a day rule and luckily he's not near that so I guess he is ok, just a growing boy he was 8lbs at his last appt so I'm guessing he's gotta be at least 8.5 by now. FTM and wanted to make sure the kid wasn't gorging himself and I wasn't over feeding him! Thanks ladies

We started 5oz bottles last week. He was 4 weeks on Saturday. He eats 4-5oz every 2-3 hours normally every 3 hours and he may go 4 hours over night.
