bottles compatible with medela

Hi! Do you have a favorite (non medela) bottle that is compatible with the medela pump without needing an adapter? Thanks!

Re: bottles compatible with medela

  • Dr. Browns do work - it feels a tad loose when you screw it on, but it holds tight.
    Here is my system:
I double pump 2 times a day and I need 3 bottles for the next day.  I get a lot more from my first session then my second, so the first session, I pump directly into 2 dr. brown's bottles.  My 2nd session I pump into 1 Dr. Brown's and 1 Medela.  Then I chill it all and at home that night I pour what was in the 1 Medela bottle into the Dr.Browns bottles to make 3 full bottles.  Any leftover I save either for the next day or to add to my freezer stash.

It took a few weeks of trying different things to get to this, but it seems to work the best for me.
  • I was also gonna say Dr. Brown's and Evenflo. I use them sometimes if my Medela bottles are dirty.

  • I use the 9 oz gerber bottles so that I don't use as many bags. I fill up two bottles a day and then make bottles for the next day.
