I've rather belatedly come to the conclusion that I have excess lipase. It might explain the fierce reverse-cycling that LO does, though he does take bottles during the day, so he must not mind the taste too terribly.
That being said, armed with this knowledge, does this mean I'll likely have excess lipase with future children? I can only hope they'll be as easy-going about it as LO is if that's the case, but I want to be more vigilant in the beginning stages of freezing milk etc. when the time comes if it's likely going to be an issue.
For those of you who've had excess lipase - has it been with all your LOs and for the full duration of your breastfeeding?
